"He looks just like a kid. A handsome one." Says the lady with her dog.

"Didn't you see how much he was bleeding back there? You can't just judge someone based on their looks." Responds a man with shoulder-length hair.

"What if we shoot him in the head? Can we kill him then?" Say the youngest of the group. I look at him in shock. How could he so easily suggest killing someone?

I back away down the hallway, reminding myself that I shouldn't try to befriend any of the residents here. Especially if they would quickly turn on me if I became infected.

Backing away down the hallway, I bumped into the strange man who had come down from the apartments with bags of food.

"Sorry." I mumble, backing away from him before turning to continue down the hallway. He watched me in silence, as I walked, making me very uncomfortable. I turned down the next hallway, wanting to get out of his line of sight. Something about him just made me uncomfortable.

I hear footsteps walking behind me and think that it is just Eunhyuk finally having come out of the bathrooms, but when I turn to face him, I come face to face with the strange man. After gasping in shock, I back away a few steps,

"Sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you. I just wanted to talk for a few moments." He says, continuing to stare at me creepily.

"Uhm, what about?" I say, unsure if I want to talk to him at all. He had been giving me weird vibes since he arrived.

"I've gotten to know most of the residents here, except for you. I heard that you don't live here. And that you're a college student? But you look so young. I thought that you were still a high schooler?" He says.

"Oh, uhm..." I say, unsure of how to respond, or if I even would.

"Ah, I'm sorry if I'm being too straightforward. But I just thought that we could be friendly." He continues.

I hear a new pair of footsteps coming down the hall and look to see Eunhyuk coming our way. I breathe a sigh of relief as he comes to stand by my side. I take a step closer to him, and away from the guy.

"Oh, this is your friend, am I right?" The man asks me, he then looks to Eunhyuk. "I was just getting to know her. Maybe we could all be friends-" He says with a creepy smile before Eunhyuk cuts him off.

"She's my girlfriend. And we don't need new friends." Eunhyuk grabs my hand and starts pulling me down the hallway, away from the man. Before we turn the corner, I give one last glance to the man, seeing that he now wore a look of annoyance. I was glad to get away from him.

We make our way to the security office. Eunhyuk lets go of my hand once we are inside. He closes the door and looks back at me.

"You shouldn't be alone with that guy. Something seems off about him." Eunhyuk says.

"Yeah, He creeps me out. He even followed me down the hallway." I say, thinking about all the bad things that could have happened if Eunhyuk had not shown up.

"You look tired." Eunhyuk suddenly says. "Have you been sleeping?" He continues to ask.

"I try to. But with everything that is going on, I'm scared to close my eyes for too long." I admit. If it's not the monsters outside trying to get me, it's the same monsters in my dreams.

Eunhyuk walks over to the discarded bed in the corners, he clears it off before patting the mattress. "You should try to sleep. I want to check out the security cameras some more, so I'll watch over you if that makes you feel more comfortable."

I think this over as I know that I should try to sleep to have more energy. And I would feel better knowing that Eunhyuk would be here with me. I would be safe.

"Sure. I'll just rest for a little while." I say, moving over to sit down on the bed. Eunhyuk goes to sit at the security desk, turning on the screens to look at the camera recordings.

"Don't let me sleep for too long. I don't want to be useless. I'll help with some tasks when I wake up." I speak up. I knew that Eunhyuk was doing a lot for me. I didn't want him to think that I was completely helpless. I watch as he nods while continuing to look at the computer monitors. I lay down on the mattress, staring at Eunhyuk from across the room. Slowly, sleep creeps in to take over my body, and soon enough I'm fast asleep.
