Chapter 1

(Rachael's school uniform)

I woke up today with a fire in my stomach.for once existed for school Because today i had determination.i was going to ask him out.Samuel Knight the most handsome guy in school.I had been in love with him since i was little. he was the only boy that would lets me play with him.most the boys didn't want to play with me.they didn't understand why a boy would want to play the princess in the games.I didn't understand it much ether of course now i realise it was because i'm a girl.it meant a lot that Sammy would let me be the princess and accept me. "oh sammy of course you can kiss me" I looked in the mirror pretending i was looking at him.
"Jordan she's talking to herself again" My little sister Brie says slamming my door open. "get out of my room you horse faced hobbit" "ouch that almost hurt my feelings what would sam say if he saw how much of a diva you really are" she smirked before continuing. "sorry i mean Sammy" she said making kissing nosiness.The rage and embarrassment was flowing threw me. "you know what Brie" I picked up my hair brush to throw and her . she responded with a fighting position. "will you to give it a rest brie leave your sister.rachael stop being insane" My cousin Jordan said. My to cousins moved in with us a few years and when there mum got locked away for helping villains. luckily we get up basically as siblings anyway. "i'm not insane" I huffed at the accusation. "yes you are remember that time you pretend to be edgy and into skating to impress Sam" Brie began to remind me. "then when he invited you to a skate park you showed up with pink shorts and rollerblades" Jordan mentioned continuing the story. "it was edgy they skates where black" I defended myself. the room was silent for a second as Bire and jordan shared glances. I switched to frowning at them. "hey what are be talking about" Dionne walked in my room wanting to be included in the conversation. "Rachael's edgy skates era"Brie mocked. "the black one with bows"Dionne questioned with a frown. Brie then snapped her fingers thinking she was right. "wasn't that the time you fell and broke your arm trying to impress that guy" Dionne questioned. The rage and embarrassment was overflowing within me. "everyone get out of my room" I yelled shoving everyone out. I could still hear the laughter from the other side of the door. "Hateful bitches" I muttered to myself.I then shrugged off there comments and continued getting ready.I spent most of the time doing my makeup and choosing out jewellery.Sadly my school has a mandatory uniform.normally i don't mind i like the chic academia look but the lack of free range to express myself fashionably always get on my nerves.Fashion is everything i am when i leave school I want to move to New York and work at a fashion magazines it my true calling.
I then made my way downstairs to everyone. "Rachael how may times do i have to tell you not to wear so much makeup to school" My mother said getting ready for work. "she just getting all dolled up for her lover"Dionne teased causing chuckles from the table. "shut up" I whispered. My mother looked at me with a firm face. "dose he know you are you know you" I nodded i knew what she was asking. my mother and I have a complicated relationship she's originally for egypt which it's usually frowned upon to be queer there.she still loves me and somewhat respects me she just doesn't see me. "ok well if your going to be a woman you should know most of us tone it down for men" she commented I tried not to let it get to me. I knew her ignorance is never intended to hurt me.I just responded with a simple nod. "regardless he's a lucky boy" she said before picking up her Briefcase and kissing me on the cheek. "i'll see you when i get back sweetheart have fun with career day" shit i completely forgot.
Career day is when a bunch of people come it to talk about where you want to be after school. it usually suggests future school paths.but mostly it just students looking at hero paths.
Me and Dionne began to walk to school. "hey guys wait up" an out of breath voice came from behind us. it was my best friend Electra. she eventually caught up to us.she then stud there silently trying to catch her breath. "you really need to work on your cardio you didn't run that far to us"Dionne poked fun at there girlfriend before they kissed.The kiss felt like it went on for hours. "ok break it up love birds before i bring up my breakfast" "sorry"Electra said blushing. we then began to walk while they held hands. "don't worry she's just bitterly single" "but not for long" I responded. "right your asking out sam today"Electra said in realisation. "you knew about this and didn't try talking her out of it." Electra shrugged at Dionne. "I mean what's so crazy about it" I questioned a little offended. "nothing" Dionne responded. I could see she didn't want to cause a real argument but there comments did put a little doubt in my stomach.school had begun and career day was as expected boring. all the stalls where basic jobs or the odd sidekick talking about heroes.none of it was to do with fashion so i just spent most of the day sitting on the bench reading old gossip magazines. "Rachael why don't you get up and talk to someone's" The miss Colebourn.She was an old friend of my dad i wasn't in any of her classes but she would always try make conversation and be overly friendly. "i'm good right here miss" I hoped she would go away but her it looked like she wasn't moving. "you know I remember you when you was a tiny baby" she began but the last thing i wanted to do is talk about when i was a baby. "actually on second thought talking the career people doesn't seem to bad" I walked away looking for a stall that seemed the least boring.I then saw him by a stall Samuel and his perfect copper hair. "yes i will marry you Sammy" i muttered to myself. "what?" "what" I didn't even notice it because on my daydream but i was right in front of him. "nothing" i practically screamed to him. I panicked and pretend to look through pan flips. I can't believe i said that to him out loud hopefully he didn't hear.who am i kidding of course he heard. I heard a light warm chuckle from him. "so how have you been Rachael we haven't talk properly since that time you broke you arm" I was mentally slapping myself in the face. "right yeah that was so funny" I lied pretending it didn't burn my pride. "i'm good what about you have you been shredding some air" I cringed at myself the second the words fell out my mouth. "something like that". there was a moment of silence before he began talking. "so are you looking to take one U.A. High exchange spots to" I was confused by his question before realising the leaflet in my hand. "U.A. High" "yea are school is holding an exchange program there are to spots available one for the 1A hero class and one for a support class" I then shuck my head at the ridiculous thought of me being a hero. "yea I'm not sure that's my thing.i do think you would make an amazing hero" I could be more delusional than usual but i think he might be blushing at my comment. "right just like when we where children I'll be the hero and you can be my princess." did he say there is no way he said that.Samuel kiss my face of till i die. have my babies Knight just called me his princess. "right about that I was wondering if maybe you wanted to get a milkshake some time"That was it i did it i asked him out. "oh sure why not how's after school we can go home get changed and then meet up at the dinner." I don't know what i expected why i was so stunned at his response. for once in my life i was speechless i knodded in response before walking away practically shaking. "oh my god i did it" I rush to Dionne to tell them about this world changing news but more importantly that she was wrong. "i'm going on a date tonight.tonight bitch!" I began shaking and yelling at them. "what's going on" Electra now joining the conversation. "I'm going on a date with Sammy" she began squealing with me jumping up and down. "finally after all these years" "I know and i have the perfect outfit"
