Meteor Showers, Part II

24 4 5

Can't you see I'm trapped at the borders of your world?

Past midnight eclipses and a starstruck sunrise

Watching you burn into orange clouds of

Forgotten agony.

Smoke streaked across skies like a meteor shower

Wishes unanswered but instead tumbled, crashing

Flourishing

With the golden tails of phoenixes.

Answer, make a noise. I'm waiting

And waiting and my heart cracks like

Clay left in heat

Until I know your own is

Whole as satin

Loved into infinity.

When I was writing this, I imagined two people, the first one is in deep suffering and the second keeps trying to help, all the while watching them go into flames (see the song attached to Part I), but it's open for interpretation in lots of different ways.
