Keefe opened his eyes.

He hadn't even realized they were closed. He looked around, his stomach dropping as he stared around the oh-so-familiar sight.

He was standing at the edge of a beach, in a true blue tunic.

This was Adrelia.

He didn't know exactly how he knew the name. It was simply there. A piece of information always given every time his and Foster's Adrelic connection activated.

And speaking of Foster.......

There she was.

Standing at the edge of the waves, in a true blue dress.

She looked so beautiful.

Sophie turned to look at him as he stepped closer, and smiled.

She was no longer covered in scars or blood, her skin was smooth and pure.

Her expression shifted with her emotions as tears started to trickle down.

"Keefe, I-" she took a steadying breath, "This is the end, isn't it?"

"I- no, it can't! But- Yeah, it is," Keefe replied, tearing a hand through his hair, distressed.

Sophie took a step closer, and Keefe could see a few eyelashes on her cheeks.

He didn't know what gave him the urge to say, "You won't need nervous habits soon, Foster"

He brushed off an eyelash gently.

She looked at him, eyes watered.

"I- I don't want to leave, Keefe, I can't."

"It's okay, Foster" Keefe whispered, reaching for Sophie's hand, finally able to be strong for her.

"This- this isn't forever," Sophie whispered, tears falling from her eyes, "This isn't going to be for forever."

"I know," Keefe's voice cracked. "It won't be."

He hugged her, holding her close, giving her as much comfort as he could.

"This isn't how it will end, I know it," Sophie whispered.

"Yeah. I'll wait. I'll wait for forever if I have to."

Sophie buried her face in his shoulder.

"This won't be for forever. You'll see," Sophie said softly.

Keefe held on to her tightly.

But Sophie started to fade from his arms.

Disappearing into nothingness.

Until Keefe was standing in the sand, alone.
