Keefe had practically bounced up the stairs of Havenfield the following day, and flung the door open wide.

He raced over to Vertina, and while panting said, "M-moonset"

Vertina sighed but nodded.

"Alright, Lover Boy, I'll tell you. She is living in the Forbidden Cities the humans call, Nampa, Idaho."

"Ok, well let's go!," Keefe said, already making his way out the door.

"Hold on, Hunkyhair- you are SO not going anywhere," Ro said, finally catching up, and stepped into Foster's room and blocked the exit.

"wHy?" Keefe said, "wE nEeD tO gO nOw! FoStEr'S cOuNtInG oN uS" (I don't know why I did that lol)

"Slow down, Lover Boy, didn't you just hear yourself? You can't go looking for her today. You actually need rest, and Blondie can take one more day. (Ha, Ro. She really can't take one more day!) That is, if you do find her."

Keefe stopped pacing- not even realizing he had been in the first place, and looked at her.

"You need a plan," Ro continued, "Something that will really work."

"So," said Keefe slowly. "What is the plan?"

Ro sighed in that way whenever Keefe was being dumb.

"How about you get your little Techno-thingy friend to give you some revealing mist? Blondie will obviously be wearing a disguise, 'cause she's smart, and you need to find out if you are talking to the right person."

"What if it isn't Foster?," Keefe asked curiously.

Ro sighed even more deeply and said, "You bolt out of there and run, you idiot!"

"Oh...., ok. That was actually a good plan," Keefe said, somewhat amazed.

Ro grinned and tossed a bit of her hair over her shoulder.

"Hunkyhair, I am the QUEEN of good plans, you shouldn't be surprised."

She smirked.

Keefe shook his head and smiled, filled with a new sense of hope, and head off to go hail Dex.

Keefe woke up the next day feeling more nervous than he ever had in his life. He was't even sure the plan would work.

But he had to try.

For Foster.

"Got all y'need, Hunkyhair?," Ro asked from a corner in his room.

"Yep," he said, looking down at his Batman shirt, surprised, but pleased when it still fit him.

He took one last deep breath, walked outside, and leaped away.

Keefe coughed. The air really was so much worse here than in the Lost Cities. He squinted around, not even sure where to look.

This city, was big, he couldn't be sure if any of them were Foster.

After walking around for an hour, he retreated into a small shop with a title like Yogurtland. It was small, but he needed to go inside somewhere to think about how little luck he had gotten so far.

Without really looking, he plopped down in a seat across from a girl who looked around 16.

16. Foster was 16.

Keefe spun around to look at her, but felt a fresh new wave of disappointment.

The girl had curly brown hair and hazel eyes- not Foster. He sighed.

But he couldn't help notice that this girl definitely not look ok. She was really pale, and was shaking slightly.

"Um, hi, do you mind if I'm sitting here?," Keefe asked.

The girl shrugged and winced. It looked like it caused her pain.

He choose to ignore this however and said, "I'm Keefe Sencen, who are you?"

She took a tiny bite of her frozen-yogurt-thing and said, "I'm Jade Peterson. Why exactly?"

Keefe shrugged and said, "I like to introduce myself. And by the way, shouldn't you be at, um, school? You look around 16."

Jade narrowed her eyes and said, "I'm actually 18, and I don't have school."

"Oh," Keefe said, slightly embarrassed. There was a pause

"So," she said, getting up. "It was nice to meet you. Keefe? Wasn't it?"

"Yeah," Keefe said.

Before she left, Keefe grabbed a hold of her arm in desperation.

"Hey, have you seen anyone named Sophie Foster? I'm looking for her."

"Sophie Foster?," Jade frowned. "I don't know anyone named Sophie Foster. I'm sorry. I hope you find her."

"Thanks," Keefe said, all hope draining as Jade left the little shop.

But.

But.

There was something oddly familiar about Jade Peterson.

A/N: Annnnd, they meet! With Sophie on the last day of her life! (Btw: srry for horrible transitions again) Wow! First, I want to say that Ik Sophie would never be that smooth at pulling off a fake identity, especially around Keefe. Also, I AM SO SORRY ABOUT NOT INCLUDING SANDOR!!! I will try and fit him in...... somehow.

But I won't bore y'all with this. :)
