With the help of a maid in the dressing room, Yelena changed out of her outfit into something simpler, and headed back into the bedroom.

Just then, Kaywhin had already taken off his mask and sat down on the sofa. The maid who had helped Yelena with her clothes was startled by the sight of Kaywhin’s face and she withdrew from the room soon after.

“Kaywhin.”

Ylenea was unaware of the maids’s reaction, as the maid had been standing behind her. She walked over to the seat opposite from Kaywhin’s and sat down.

“I’m sorry. I’ve taken even more of your time with my personal matters.”

“It’s fine. Rather than that, are you okay, Wife?”

“Me, why?”

“You’re looking a little pale.”

Ah. Yelena raised a hand to her face. Of course, this didn’t do anything to improve her complexion.

“I’m fine. I was just a bit startled, so…” After hesitating for a moment, Yelena continued speaking, “About that play we saw earlier. It felt like it might be written by someone I know… that’s why I wanted to meet them in person to find out if it’s true.”

Although there were a few omissions in her words, she wasn’t lying.

‘That was definitely a demon.’

A demon had appeared in the play. That was the reason why Yelena wanted to meet the playwright who had written that play.

The word ‘demon’ hadn’t actually been used anywhere in the play. However the monster depicted in the play matched perfectly with the demons that Yelena knew.

‘Could it be the old woman?’

While escorting the two of them to their residence, Baron Anaheim had said that the playwright was a young bard. But if it was the old lady, then she might have changed her appearance through some kind of magic. The old lady that Yelena knew was someone extraordinary enough to do that sort of thing with ease.

‘I’ll know for sure tomorrow, but if it’s really the old lady who wrote this script, then there must be a reason for it.’

Even if he didn’t turn out to be the old woman, it would be worth meeting with him. Because it would mean that there were other people who knew of the future besides Yelena.

‘Phewww.’

With an internal sigh, Yelena leaned back into the sofa.

Her stomach churched. Recalling the demons naturally led her to think about the terrible death that she had suffered in the future.

That was probably why her complexion was so poor.

‘What’s with this?’

It was disappointing that their first real date out in public had ended like this. As she thought of how unfortunate it was that things had ended this way, an aimless resentment began building up inside her.

At that moment, Yelena caught sight of a bottle of wine that had been set on the table.

“Where did this wine come from?”

She hadn’t seen it before she had headed into the dressing room.

Kaywhin replied, “A maid came by a bit earlier and left this here.”
