they were still good friends, just a sort of awkwardness continued to exist.

Aera watched snow fall from outside of her window, it was absolutely beautiful. maybe she could understand Beomgyu's love...just a little bit.

"oh, love." her mother called for her from the kitchen. "have you talked to Ji-Na recently? her mother called me and told me that they landed a few days ago."

"i did! we hung out a bit together. she's been busy, but i've made a new friend and i've been spending a lot of time with them." she blushed lightly, her mother catching it.

"oh?" her mother looked at her suspiciously. "who is it?"

"just a friend." she frowned a bit and looked at the gift that awaited for him. she couldn't wait to give it to him.

every time they'd been together, she noticed he would write lyrics on napkins when they popped into his head. though he had a million notebooks, she bought him one that was small enough to carry around everywhere. in his pocket, in his bag, anywhere.

she smiled and joined her parents for their morning brunch before opening presents together soon after.
