The distant sound of rumbling and roaring engines fill the air. The Saunders main force moves in a V formation towards G6.
"OoOHh! HErE theY CoMe!"
Sparks joyfully hops back into her Hellcat
"I didn't expect a frontal charge from them, in these conditions no less"
Abigail squints in her T14
"They seem to have thrown caution to the wind. Let's chop them down, my good ladies!"
Cherry orders her team to prepare to fire
Suddenly, the Saunders team splits off, the tanks disappear into the dense treeline surrounding the plateau.
"Got 'em right where we want 'em!"
Alisa cheers over the radio
"Save when we win!"
Naomi calms her down
"Nice plan, Lee. Gotta hand it to you."
Simone chimes in from her seat
Flashback
"So, how do we hit them? The plateau's angled terrain provides them with natural cover, and also gives them perfect shots at us if just rush in."
Naomi pondered their approach
"Best we could do is lob shells at them, but that would take time to properly hit them, we might just lose if we take to long to rangefind."
Alisa replies over the radio
Silence befell the channel
"Hey. Don't we have signal flares?"
Lee asked
"And what would that do?"
Amy asked, loading her machine gun
"What if, he throw the flares where they're tanks are positioned so it'd be easier to target them?"
Lee suggested
"Why would we need to do that?"
Kay asked confused
"We'll use the treeline as cover and use the flares as markers so we can hit them, but they can't hit us."
Lee answered, bravado filled his voice
Flashback End
One by one, each tank disappears into the brush. And soon after, flares are thrown in the direction of Rushmore's bunkered down tanks.
"FLareS?"
Sparks was surprised
"Diversion. Use tracers. Find them!"
Cherry shouted
BANG!
Naomi fired off a shot taking out Abigail's tank
"Apologies..."
Abigail said dazed and defeated
Then another rang out. Taking out one of the other remaining tanks.
"CheRRy! Get goinG!"
Sparks cried frantically
"What General abandons their troop?!"
Cherry fought
"OnE that HAS sOme-!"
Sparks radio cuts out
A shell rocked the engine deck of Sparks Hellcat, knocking it over. As one by one the Saunders force emerges from the trees.
"We accept surrenders!"
Kay popped out of her tank, megaphone in hand with a big smug smile on her face
Cherry's tank turns it's turret around as she steps out.
"I have to admit! That was, impressive!"
Cherry shouted atop her M6
She throws her sash down from the plateau as a symbol of surrender.
"WE WIN!"
Kay shouts into her megaphone
The rest of the tankery team join her in celebration by screaming at the top of their lungs.
"What a gaggle of apes."
Sparks said walking up to Cherry, her hair completely black
"I haven't seen you so, gloomy, before."
Abigail dusts herself off joining the two
"I got the juice knocked out of me."
Sparks said, flopping into Cherry's arms
"Let them celebrate. They won after all."
Cherry smiles
"We were SEVERELY handicapped."
Abigail glared
"No victory is empty if it leads to joy."
Cherry walks away, carrying Sparks who is now sound asleep
"We gotta stop you from hanging around that Darjeeling girl."
Abigail follows close behind
The Saunders team chant, "Who's number 1? We are!", over and over as they jump for joy.
Kay and Lee exchange looks of joy.
"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"
Alisa cheers them on with a devilish smirk
"Nope."
Lee flicks her forehead
Soon after, the others start chanting for the two to kiss as well.
"Uh. Maybe they should stop, right-?"
Lee get cut off
Kay plants a fast but meaningful peck on Lee's cheek before ordering them all to return to the hangar and rest for tommorow's party.
The others cheer and rave at the small kiss as Lee stands dumbfounded.
"Come 'er, ladies man."
Amy drags her back into the tank as they depart
