"Your mom said what?" Noah asks me flabbergasted while I take a bite out of my froyo.

After texting Noah a brief summary about the family dinner he insisted that we had to meet somewhere after I was done working so he could get the more in depth version.

"Yah." I say with a shrug. "She thinks I've been with every man in town." I say with a fake gag. "I'm staying clear of most men after the break up with jay."

"Jays crazy." Noah mutters as I laugh.

"Tell me about it." I say with an eye roll. "A break from him would be nice."

"Him applying to the same job as you after you two broke up will never fail to amaze me." Noah says as I laugh.

"My god today he was complaining to me about how it's cloudy and cold and we shouldn't be scheduled like shut up dude." I say with an eye roll.

"Life is just so complicated for him." Noah says with a fake pout as I roll my eyes.

"It's just horrible that you applied to a job that only cancels when it's pouring." I say sarcastically as Noah laughs along with me.

"During that karaoke night he was shooting me the most evil look ever when we were up there singing." Noah brings up making me roll my eyes.

"Of course he was." I say annoyed. "He's a possessive dweeb."

"He broke up with you right?" Noah says as I nod.

"Yeah. So I don't get why he's being weird." I say with a sigh. "It's whatever i guess."

"Whatever you guess?" Noah questions while I just shrug.

"It gives me something to laugh about." I say while taking a spoonful of my froyo into my mouth.

"So have you been in any relationships?" I question Noah as I watch him get ridged and his face shift into something of discomfort instead of the happy one that he had five seconds earlier.

"We don't need to talk about it." I say quickly sensing his discomfort.

"My brother is inviting some of hockey friends over for a week and last time they came over they broke my door." I say quickly averting the conversation watching as Noah gets back in the rhythm of things.

"Broke your door?" He asks softly as I laugh.

"I stole their box of pizza and let's just say his friends one point my door zero." I say as he laughs softly.
