Let me be the first to say welcome to my Equestria Girls x OC x Reader story, "The Equestrian Valiant."

Wait, reader AND OC? Well, yes... I'm experimenting on how to make this work and I hope you like it. Some might like it and some may not, but that's okay, I don't expect everyone to like it.

I would like to add just a few things before we begin. There will be a few changes within the story and characters so that it becomes more than just another MLP-altered world with high school AU.

I don't think it's necessary to state the obvious but the disclaimer needs to be addressed.

Some of you might have heard of Canterlot City before. If not, let me tell you the basics. It is mostly known for being surrounded by forests and hills. Pretty tranquil for a suburban area if you ask me. Honestly, I'm surprised that not many people know of this place.

It's filled with very nice and welcoming people, you can pretty much have a casual conversation with almost everyone, keyword: "almost".

However, I would like to talk about one of Canterlot's highlights, the school. Surprisingly, it is filled with colorful places with even more colorful people. It is filled with opportunities and challenges that will prepare you to achieve your dream career. That school caught my eye. What's the name of this place I'm gonna be attending? Canterlot High School, or CHS for short.

Yeah, it may look like your regular high school, but I heard great things about this place, which is why it's a perfect opportunity for me to start anew and possibly make some friends along the way.

Why am I telling you this? You see, I wish to share my journey with you, which could be described as... magical.

I'm unsure how, but I was told I was born with extraordinary abilities. Is that too much? Am I going too fast? Let me go from the start, then.

For most of my life, I lived in Sire's Hollow and was homeschooled by my parents. It's not that I hate my home or anything like it, but I have always thought about leaving that place. In all honesty, there was nothing for me to stay there. My only friend there wanted nothing to do with me, so as much as I tried to make things right, I reached a point where I would respect her wish.
