"Did you hear about Diane and Rob?" Eddie asked.
Wally laughed.
"Of course. She beat the shit outta him cause she was off her meds."

Eddie's eyes widened, "Oh! I only heard Rob was in the hospital." Wally smiled.

"Well, different people hear different things."

Wally went back to painting, and Eddie went back to reading his newspaper.

"How's Frank?" Wally asks.

"My ex-husband?" Eddie looks at him.

"Yeah. Him."

Eddie shrugs his shoulders.

"Ever since he moved, I haven't really heard from him. I know Julie still hangs out with him all the time."

"Hmm." Wally says.

Eddie looks over at his fiancé, smiling at the thought of them marrying.

"But I don't want him."

Wally looks at Eddie.

"I want you."

Wally smiles. Not his usual, creepy smile. A moment of genuine happiness. Only Eddie could ever make him feel this way. Only Eddie.
