I realise pretty quickly that its really hard to get Blake alone. Not only is he always out doing something for the pack, he's also extremely popular, so he's always surrounded by his admirers.
"I mean you could just walk up to him and tell him you want to talk" Taylor tells me during dinner. We're in our usual spot, staring across the lawn by the cafeteria at Blakes table. He's with a few other guys and girls (probably their mates who knows).
"Yeah and walk into that? I'd rather not" I also notice Hayley and her table of hating friends not too far from Blakes table "Especially with them watching" I nod towards her.
"You know, you say she's nice, but I get really bad vibes from her" Taylor sneers in their direction "And any girl who has friends who she lets harras her exes new girl is a no-no"
"Hey they don't 'harrass' me" I roll my eyes at her "It's just a few dirty looks once in a while, they'll get over it"
"You're too nice Tess," She sighs "Give it a while, she'll show her true colors soon"
I ignore her and go back to watching Blake. He's talking animatedly with his hands waving in the air. I know its weird to stare, but I can't help watching him when he gets like that. Its strangely endearing.
As if he senses me staring he turns his head to my direction. I whip back to my plate and try to act natural. I can feel his eyes on me, but i don't look up. Taylor scoffs beside me.
"Both of you are unbearable" she says sipping on her water.
I lift my head again and look at him again. He's turned back to his table. I might be imagining, but he has a slight smirk on his face.
Giving up I stand up and look at Taylor
"This is hopeless, I'm just gonna-"
"TESSA!" I jump and turn around as Mason appears behind me
"What the hell Mason!" I hit him "You scared the shit out of me"
"Ow!" he glares at me while rubbing his shoulder "That was the point, but I wouldn't have done it if i was gonna get assaulted"
"Self-Defense" I say to him and walk back to leave my tray "I thought you were going into town with your parents"
"I was going to, but I got out of it" He follows me "Thought I'd drop by here and eat. I'm starving" He proceeds to let his stomach rumble loudly.
