Rash decions

T-dog and Shane made it back with more duct tape. We all gather around the door of the RV

"He said that's what he wants" Rick says

"And he's lucid?" Carol questions

"He appears to be" Rick nods fiddling with his hat "I would say yes"

"Back in the camp when I said Daryl was right and you shut me down." I start all eyes flick to me. I see Daryl make his way to stand behind me but to the left "you misunderstood-"

"I would never go along with callously killing a man" Shane says. I glare at him. Why does this man interrupt everyone that doesn't have the same opinion as him.

"Neither would I" I bite back at him "maybe you should ask Jim what he wants and I think we have an answer"

"We just leave him here and take off" Lori scoffs Loki g to Rick "I'm not sure I can live with that"

"It's not your call" I hiss at her then look between her and Shane "either one of you"

We leave Jim by a tree. Shane tried in vein to get him to change his mind. I just stood at Daryl's truck while the others said their goodbyes to Jim. Even Daryl gave him an acknowledgement. They all make their ways back into their cars

"You want me to drive?" I ask Daryl as he walks over

"You can drive?" He asks in disbelief. Right you can't drive till you're 21 over here. Which means I'd only just be on my P's I think. We love Australia

"Since I was 15" he just stares and me. For a moment I think he might walk over to the drivers side but he just throws me the keys. I smile

"Don't crash" he quips

"I will" I say and get into the drivers side

Daryl and I started the trip off my playing eye spy. When we started he thought it was childish, but then we got playing. We played a couple rounds then it turned into never have I ever except instead of drinking we would eat a nut. T-dog managed to find 15 bags of 1.5kg cashews.

"Never have I ever been arrested for driving underage" we both are a nut and he laughed at me "what?"

"You've been arrested?" He asks in disbelief "didn't expect you'd done anything wrong. Ever"

"Well I was 17 driving my dad's 2007 Holden Ute. He was so pissed and I definitely will never forget it but it was regional Queensland so none of the cops really cared" I say smiling

"Look at you a little criminal" he joked

"Hey I'm not little" I feign annoyance and hit his chest looking at him before looking back at the road. We both laughed and kept playing

When we stopped the CDC came into veiw. The caravan stopped and we all got out. I reached over to Daryl's side of the car to pick up my bow and quiver then got out. The first thing I noticed was the smell then the flies.

We walked out and there were geeks stacked in piles behind and over sandbags. Everyone was on high alert. Daryl and I stayed to the back of the group and Shane and Rick stayed at the front. Ones with weapons littered through the rest of the group.

Everyone was coughing at the smell and Shane whispered "alright. everybody keep moving. Stay quiet. Come on"

He tried to touch my back (in the way people do when they're ushering you along) but I swatted his hand away and glared at him. He just scoffed and rolled his eyes

As we walked more and more bodies littered the ground and the smell got worse

"Come on. Come on. Everyone stay together" Rick said a little to loud for my liking. People started to cough louder. When Shane shushed them all. I rolled my eyes at his feeble attempts.

We walked up to the CDC's doors. We tried to open them but they were locked

"There's nobody here" t-dog said and I added

"Even if there were I wouldn't trust em"

"Then why are these shutters down?" Rick asks

"Walkers" Daryl announces. The arrow that was already knocked in my bow was drawn and shot into the things skull. When it was gone Daryl shouted "you lead us to a graveyard!"

"He made a call" Shane said very unhelpfully

"It was a wrong damn call!" Daryl yelled back. I moved in front of him and put my hand on his chest

"Daryl" I warned. He just looked at me

Shane came up and pushed on his chest even though he had already backed off "shut up. Shut. Up." He walked to Rick and I unconsciously knocked an arrow. I promised myself then and there if Shane stepped out of line or does anything uncalled for again then I would put an arrow through his head "Rick this is a dead end"

"Where are we gonna go" carol cried

"Do you hear me. No blame" he pointed at Rick

"She's right we can't be this close to the city after dark" I supplied

"Fort bending Rick. Still an option" Shane looked from me to Rick

"On what. Fort Bennings another 100 miles in no fuel or food" Andrea said and I nodded. Just when I heard Daryl load his gun. Fuck.

"125 I checked the map" Glenn said

"Not helping" I retorted a little snappier than I would've intended

Arguments erupted and Rick thought he saw a camera move and started banging on the door causing more geeks to walk over. I traded my bow for my gun and started shooting them alongside Daryl, Dale and Shane while Rick still banged on the door

Rick started yelling at the camera lori and Shane tried to get Rick back but failed miserably. When the door opened the light was blinding. We all moved inside Daryl and I covered the door

I was more concentrated on the geeks outside so when I heard an unfamiliar voice I ripped around and saw a rip off Ed Sheeran looking man standing there with a gun "anyone infected" he asked

"One of our group was. He didn't make it" Rick said

"Why are you here. What do you want" the man asked

"A chance" is all Rick said
