CRYSTAL'S POV:

I wait inside the house with Sophia and Barney whilst Theo stands in the door and speaks to Amy. I can't help but feel my blood boil. I hate Amy, and everything she's done to Theo. I don't really understand why Theo is okay with her coming here, and why he's even speaking to her. He hates her.

I sit on the sofa with Sophia leaning on me and Barney now on the floor and I teach her about a game I bought a while back, which me and Theo always played together, called Scott Pilgrim vs The World. It's a good game and she seems to like it, too. The bad guys all turn into coins when you beat them and she laughs every time one dies.

"Haha! Die, bad guy!" she calls, laughing afterwards. I laugh with her and smile, before my smile fades when I hear shouting coming from the porch. I look behind me and I turn the tv down a notch so I can hear what's going on.

I hear Theo shouting loudly and it even makes Sophia look behind herself, curiously. I hear Amy scream back at him and I frown to myself.

THEO'S POV:

"NO, YOU CAN'T JUST SAY SORRY AFTER ALL THE THINGS YOU'VE DONE TO ME!" I shout at her, and she just stares at me in disbelief. I take a deep breath, and she continues to stare at me, a mixture of both anger and sadness in her eyes. I keep my posture and frown at her, before Crystal barges in behind me.

I look back at her and I see her frowning angrily before she speaks. "Listen here, you bitch. Scream at my husband again and see where my fist lands."

Amy's eyes widen and so do mine. I've never seen or heard Crystal speak like that before. "I'm not scared of you." I hear Amy say quietly. She rolls her eyes at both of us. "Why the hell would I be scared of a blind freak with scars all over her?"

I feel my heart beat quickens inside my chest. I look over at Amy, my blood boiling now. I push Crystal behind me a little bit, gently, before I grab Amy's arm tightly without thinking. "WHO EXACTLY DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, AMY? YOU DO NOT SPEAK TO HER THAT WAY!" I spit in her face and she gasps. Crystal grabs my arm.

"Honey, I-" she says, seeming a bit more calm now. I cut her off. I pull my arm away from Crystal as gently as I possibly can.

"NO! SHE FUCKING SPEAKS TO US LIKE WERE SHIT ON THE BOTTOM OF HER SHOE! I'M NOT HAVING IT!"

I grip onto Amy's arm more and I push her roughly outside. "Get the fuck off my lawn before I make you." I say sternly, giving her a deadly look. Crystal stands behind me, but I don't hear her do or say anything now. I think she's a bit shocked at my reaction.

I look behind Any again and I see the same guy I saw outside the window a moment ago. I'm too angry to even say anything nice. I point to him. "You can piss off too, have fun with your fucking wonder of a girlfriend." I say, loud enough so he can hear me.

The man stares ahead and blinks, playing with his fingers. I glance at Amy again who seems stunned, standing a bit further away from me now. I speak to her one last time. "Step foot on my lawn again, see what happens."

I hear Sophia come into the porch now. "Mummy, what's going on?" she asks Crystal curiously, as I watch Amy walk away up my garden and up the steps, closing my gate after her. The man just seems to stand there and look at me anxiously, though.

"Nothing, honey, just go back and play your game, okay..?" replies Crystal quietly.

And so she does. She wanders back into the living room, calling "Can daddy play with me?"

Crystal nods and ushers her into the living room. "Yes, darling, just give us a moment, okay?"

Sophia nods and runs back into the living room again. Crystal walks up to me and grabs my arm, watching me breath heavily. She passes me my inhaler and I breathe with it, my blood still boiling. I look at her in the eyes and I sigh.

"Crystal, I..." I say slowly, staring at her in the eyes. But she just smiles at me and moves a bit of my hair out of my face, resting her head just below my shoulder as she's shorter than me.

She sighs softly and holds her hand against my chest. "I haven't seen you like that before, Theo.." she says. "I... I just... I appreciate what you do for me, you know..?" she whispers to me quietly.

My eyes light up and I feel myself calming down at her presence. I wrap my arms around her and smile to myself. "I would never let anyone speak to you like that."
