Zoo Visit (Part 2) - Home Time

CRYSTAL'S POV:

The crowd claps as the orcas jump out of the water and splash us. We decided to sit in the splash seats since it's more fun and it's a hot day so we'd dry off. Todd and Sophia seem to love it.

"Dad your beanie got wet!" laughed Todd. Toby looks at him grumpily and sighed.

"Don't worry Toby, you'll dry off." said Theo, turning back to the tank and staring at the orca. "And so will your beanie."

AFTER THE SHOW

I take a deep breath as I push Sophia forward in her pram, Toby, Theo and Todd waking slightly behind me. We had already done everything at the zoo and there was hardly anything else to do so we decided to head home at last. Sophia seemed tired and she was starting to fall asleep.

Theo wrapped his arm around me and leaned his head on my shoulder. I felt butterflies in my stomach because I loved him so much. "You two look just alike, you know that?" he says to me, a wide smile across his face.

I laughed. "She looks like you with her eyes, though." I reply as it was just starting to rain. I covered the pram with a waterproof cover to save Sophia getting wet.

Toby and Todd ran in front of us, racing to the car. Todd won but it was only due to Toby slowing down a little on purpose. They were cute. I think Toby is a good father knowing he has given up alcohol and murder for him.

Theo planted his hand on mine. I smiled slightly at him and he smiled back.

When we finally got back to the car I set Sophia back in her booster seat and strapped her in whilst Theo got into the drivers seat. Toby sat in the back with Sophia and Todd.

The rain was starting to get louder and faster. I rush back into the car and I am soaked. Everyone laughs before we start to drive back home.

LATER

I close the door behind me after I and Theo walk in. I hold Sophia in my arms. I sigh loudly, tired. "That was a long day." I say in a huff.

Theo walks into the kitchen. "Sure was." he says as he opens the cupboard and grabs a chocolate bar. I shake my head as I start heading upstairs. He follows me moments later.

I put Sophia in her bed and tuck her in, giving her a kiss on the forehead before I turn the lights off and close the door. Theo is standing in front of my when I turn around.

"What're you doing, Theo?" I ask, laughing quietly. He just stares at me for a second before he smiles. He walks up to me and grabs my face in his hands before he leans in slowly and kisses me on the lips. My eyes widen and I start to blush. I wrap my arms around his waist and I kiss him back passionately.

We part and then we start to laugh, not too loud though.

We tiptoe into our room and get changed before we get into bed ourselves. Theo in his favourite pyjamas, Arctic Monkeys ones, and I wear ones with a star on the shirt, some black fabric shorts.

I see Theo texting Toby. I start to think.

"Hey have you ever realised how weird it was how you guys became friends?" I quiz, looking at him. He looks back at me and has to think about it for a moment.

He puts his phone on his bedside cabinet and turns, staring at me. "I've never really thought about it. I've only thought now cool I must've looked for a cool guy like him to pick me out of a restaurant full of people." he replies.

We both laugh again before I yawn quietly. Theo smiles and he pulls me closer to him so we're cuddling. I hurl my arm over his waist and he cuddled me with both arms. We snuggle up to each other and close our eyes, starting to drift off.
