Chapter 11. Not Easily Broken Part 2

"I didnt know Rachel's last name so I waited until you got here baby."

"Okay that's fine baby." We walked over to the reception desk.

"Can you please tell me what room is Rachel Kennedy is in. I'm her sister Mariah Kennedy."

"Sure she is in room 707 on the seventh floor just take this elevator right here to my left. Here are some visitors passes."

"Thank you."

We made it upstairs to the room. I knocked on the door before going in.

"Rachel?" I ran over to her hugging her, we both were crying. Tommie and James were hugging each other. James was crying and Tommie just patted him on the back.

"I missed you so much Rachel. Look at you about to pop and shit."

"Yes in a week or so and I missed you so much more."

"Omg what are you having friend?"

"A baby girl". We started crying again when she told me the gender. "James ass was trying to feed me but fell asleep on the food in the oven." I went over to James to smack him on the back of his head.

"That's for trying to kill them."

"I deserve that Tee Tee Riah."

"Foe what was you cooking in the oven." Tommie asked James.

"Some bread sticks for Rachel and the baby to go with her Alfredo and a pizza for me. Den fell asleep boa because I'm tired trying to do everything for Rachel. Not that I'm complaining because I love them both I just need some shut eye that's all." James pleaded his case.

"Well y'all need a new place to stay now it's not even enough time to get a new one if the baby is coming less than a week."

"I know Riah we gonna find a another place really soon." Rachel said

"Nonsense y'all can stay with us. We have a four bedroom house."

"Really Mariah? We don't want to intrude on y'all we got it."

"I assist Rachel being that Tommie be at home alone and I'm working these hours I can't have my niece not safe from smokey the bandit over here." We just giggled at what I said.

"Well we an assist Rachel and James." Tommie said to both of them. Rachel started crying again and Tommie and James dabbed each other up like they was more happier than me and Rachel.

"Speaking of work Mariah you're a fire fighter now? Girl I'm so proud of you." Rachel said to me.

"Yea Riah, that's raw asl. Saving people lives like that. Glad you saved ours." James said.

"Yea that's what I do now. Ms. Lenn or Lenn is what I go by now. Believe me the test was the easiest part but the physical part made me stronger." I told them both.

"That's what's up Riah I'm happy for you babes." Rachel told me.

"I was on the news my first rescue because I saved little kids after being unconscious because some debris from the house fallen on to me. But I came out better than I went in because of my baby's voice of the prayer she said for me. I made the newspaper headlines in Chicago my mommy told me as well and then there is a youtube video of the whole scene with Tommie prayer too."

" Damn Tee Tee Riah saved you pookie butt." Rachel said rubbing her stomach.

Rachel monitor's started going off.

"What's wrong Rach?" She started moaning in pain. The doctor's and nurses came into the hospital room. They was checking her screens.

"It's the baby Ms.Kennedy, how are you feeling right now?"

"A lot of pain doctor." She started breathing heavily.

"Signs of labor check her vitals nurse. Do you have a strong and regular contractions? Or pain in your belly and lower back? Any of these symptoms occur to you right now?" The doctor asked Rachel.

"Yes, I feel her pushing down on my uterus. Strong contractions like I need to shit, my belly is fine but I do feel pain in my lower back. Oooo shit ok ok." Rachel was breathing uncontrollably heavily.

"Doctor her heart rate is speeding up faster."

"Check to see how many centimeters, she is 7 cm dilated doctor."

"Okay Ms.Kennedy you're almost will be ready at 10 centimeters. We will see within the next hour. In the mean time just try to relax." The doctor and nurse left the room.

"Oh my goodness Rachel. She is coming out today!!" I was so excited but Rachel wasn't being in hella pain.

"I need drugs James!!!" Rachel was yelling at James.

"Hell me too Rachel. But I can't give you anything." Rachel threw a pillow over at James.

"You did this to me!!!" Rachel was yelling.

"Okay Rach just breathe babes." I started breathing with her to control her breathing. We did this for about 30 minutes.

"Riah can you please check to see if you see her head." I looked up underneath Rachel hospital gown.

"Either you need to shave Rachel or the baby is  crowning." She just yelled. James went to go get a nurse. Rachel lifted her gown up to show her.

"Okay Imma go get the doctor."

"Okay! Ms.Kennedy it's time to push! And I heard you don't want an epidural?"

"No!! Just get her outta me!"

"Alright then nurse prepare her for birth. Daddy or father put on the scrubs, and a face mask. James did as told. Me and Tommie left to go sit in the truck. I did not want to be in the waiting room area.

About 20 hours or so went by and James knocked on our window. "She's here all healthy and strong." We both got outta the truck going back in the hospital. Walking in the room Rachel was holding her baby. "There goes your Tee Tee Riah." Rachel said.

"Wow look at her pretty little self, she looks like the both of y'all. Her big eyes those are Rachel's eyes and that jaw line with her dimples is James."

"Yea that's his twin."

"Can I hold her?"

"Of course Tee Tee." I picked her up from Rachel, just walking around with her.

"What's her name Rachel?"

"Reign Divine Kennedy Scott. The r is for me and you. Divine is because she came at the right time. Kennedy Scott is me and James of course." I handed her back to her mommy.

"Pretty ass name Rachel."

"Thank you babes."

"Now when do you get discharged from here?"

"In 3-4 days I think why?

"So I could be at home getting ready for y'all imma call off from work."

"Riah you don't need to do that I'm sure you have to save Miami plus that's your money and career."

"Rachel do I have punk bitch on my forehead. I'm not easily broken, I can handle whatever is being thrown at me."

"Okay Tee Tee Riah." Rachel said to me.
