Sanji's POV
- - - -
Post-Enies Lobbies

It was a beautiful evening with the birds chirping slowly being replaced by the crickets around our cabin. There we waited for our new ship to be reborn; a new beginning in our piracy again. My body leant against the window sill, watching the stars glisten brightly in the night sky; a certain constellation resembling my gorgeous navigator and archeologist.

Stepping back from the window sill, I hear the quietness in the room and the sweeping of moss-head's broom. However much I felt the urge to tease the fool, I humbled myself and watch him clean the floors. Luckily, Nami-swan had managed to bring him to his feet after sleeping in the entire day. I talked to her about some chores he can do and Nami-swan agreed, lending him all the chores that should've been finished by me, the chef.

Admittedly, I didn't have a problem if he passed on the offer and if Nami-swan never forced him. I'd think of myself as a workaholic and I guess it got me in the habit of staying up late, doing chores. Every day, I made sure everything was made while the next morning, I'd wake up early to make breakfast. No matter the excruciating hours I spend in the kitchen, I had already accepted it as my home. In fact, I wouldn't let anything happen inside it. I'd be devastated if something did.

"Oi moss-head, you almost done? I want the floor in the kitchen spotless, you know." I demanded at him while grabbing a cigarette. He groaned deeply in response, aggressively sweeping the floors now and only spreading the dust out. I huffed at him, annoyed by his attitude and tantrums, before slipping the cigarette in my mouth and lighting it.

After a while of angry sweeping, he stands up straight and shoves the broom aside, before slumping down against the dining chair. "Took you long enough." I mumbled irritatedly, scrubbing the last dish clean. He only gave me a side glance and a raised eyebrow, his expression describing his perplexity. "What're you doing still up?" He questioned, sitting up from the chair and turning to me in a swift motion.

I shrugged, putting the dishes in the cabinets and dragging my feet to where Zoro sat. Then, I pulled out my lighter and lit my cigarette again after it had just recently burnt out. He eyed me dangerously, his arms folded against his chest and his foot tapping the floors in a rhythmic way. As we glared at each other, I brushed it off and looked away uncomfortably, shifting awkwardly in my spot.

"I don't know. I probably got used to staying up late and cleaning up after everyone's ass." I blurt out blatantly. The moss-head only rolled his eyes and rocked his chair back and forth, staring at the ceiling and narrowing his gaze on it. In the midst of silence, I huff out some smoke to his face to grab his attention.

"And I wanted a smoke break." I grinned smugly. He stared at me with a neutral expression before furrowing his eyebrows and clenching his fists. "You could've had your smoke break tomorrow. Or even while I was working. Why're you so goddamn addicted and stuck to that burning stick in your mouth?!"

He insulted back, stomping his foot in the process as he sits up again; his posture a demonstration of his anger. The bastard's clearly exaggerating right now, especially since there's no way a stupid cigarette can ruin my health. After running my thoughts out quickly, I spoke up to him with my eyes showing unamusement to his statement.

"Excuse me for not drowning myself in sake or wasting my time sleeping!" I shout back, a small vein popping out on both our temple's. "You're the one who made me do your goddamn chores!! Why didn't you just go and sleep?! It really isn't that hard!! We should've just switched places if you weren't gonna use your time wisely!!" He undeniably fought back, pushing the chair back and pointing.

I hesitated while stood for a moment, my cigarette barely staying in-between my lips. He then harshly grabbed his chair from behind and slammed it back on its legs as he sat down on it. "Sleeping is a time to relax. You're always working. I don't get why you let me do the chores when you're not going to get some rest yourself. You don't have to constantly be working, you know that right?" His tone went softer near the end, but he kept a violent glare towards me.
