Zoro's POV
- - - -
Wano Kuni

I listen closely to what Sanji has to say, despite holding multiple grudges on him and for despising him all the time; the pterodactyl in front of me pushing me back as I try to steady myself. "We're gonna beat the Beast Pirates." He says gently from the other side of the transponder snail, still biting on my sword tightly as the pterodactyl's beak is pointed to my crossed swords.

"Yeah, of course!" I exclaim back with a hint of excitement in my voice, still keeping King busy with his beak pushing against my swords. "But after the battle, if I lose my mind, you must kill me." He says calmly from the other side of the voice, hearing how serious he really is about this as my eye widens and the sparks of the beak and my swords flying past me.

Finally, as I push him away from me, I try to regain my composure, my grip on both swords tight as I think of what to say. "Okay, I got it." I breathe deeply, watching King stand up again as the silence fills the air; the fire from my blades that sent King flying starting to spread. "I'll make sure to kill you myself. I don't know what the deal is, but I finally got something to look forward to!"

I speak back to you with the same harsh annotation and gentleness, preparing my swords as I watch the fires burn. I narrow my eye while still clenching on the sword in my mouth, my voice a bit more harsher now. "Don't die until then!" I tell you as I continue my fight against King.

"Thanks." He spoke to me lastly before ending the call as I return to fighting King.

As the dawn of Wano arrives, I sit down on the same hill I was practicing my Enma at last time, my legs crossed as I stare into the horizon. I'm still drinking my sake, heavily under the influence now as I wipe it off my mouth, my consciousness starting to slip away as I grip onto the grass tightly, my eye half-shut.

"..Sanji." I mumble under my breath, hiccuping as I fall on the grass and the sun starts shining on my face, covering my eye now with my hand. I shake my head, in denial of his death, knowing he's a strong guy and wouldn't die on me that easily.. would he? I grip onto my front hair tightly, pulling on it slightly as I look at the sky, seeing it start to light up and the sun slowly shining.

"Damn it, where the hell are you?!" I shout in frustration and impatience, slamming my fist on the ground as my jaw clenches. My body starts to tense as I think about how formidable his own opponent is, still in disbelief he would die so soon.. not yet. I take my swords out and slash the trees in pieces, starting to do the same as I run through the bamboo woods, making them all fall in unison as I growl lowly, wanting to scream.

"What about our promise, you stupid cook?!" I start to run around the area as the bamboo is being cut in a rapid pace, my grip tightening on the swords and starting to shake slightly. I look around me in anger and concern after noticing Otama in the corner of my eye, abruptly stopping in front of her with my eye wide open, seeing her hand me some rice balls.

"Big brother Zoro, are you okay?" She shouts this as she looks up to me in worry and slight fear, reaching out to hold your hand as I scoop her up in my arms. I sigh softly in frustration, taking a bite of the rice ball she's given me. I nod at her slowly, not wanting to show weakness but also not wanting a child to be worrying about me as I chew in silence, my arm around to keep you up.

I look to the sky again, seeing it completely lit up with it radiating a vibrant blue and the sun's ray of light, breathing steadily as I sheathe my sword and my gaze softens. 'Hey, cook.. where's are you? I'm still looking forward for our fight.. hey..' I notice Otama patting my head now as I look to her in my surprise as she shifts slightly in her position, her cheeks puffed as she pouts at me sadly.
