Sargent's Random book

I believe I am insane

Okay, if you didn't know (aka anybody that isn't in my main group chat 😋) I an going to Texas on Saturdayto visit family and such. Well anyway, it is about an 11 to 12 hour drive there and so my mom took us all shopping the other day to get books for the trip.

And I got the Odyssey.

And my mind is exploding.

I love the story though honestly. We put on The Odyssey: by Thespis and the Peloponnesian Midwest Regional Third Place Chorus in school, so I already have an idea of what the story is about. However the version we put on was just skimming the surface of the story and was completely comedic.

But anyways I do have a funny thing that I want to tell you guys. I was reading the beginning of the book and the gods were speaking about Odysseus and how he blinded the cyclops Polyphemus, who actually just happens to be the son of Poseidon.

And I just facepalm and laugh to myself because in the play I was a sailor with Odysseus in the cave and I held open the Cyclops' eye so he could blind him.

Yeah...
