Zelda wanted a nap. When she decided to hold the calamity back while Link recovered, she didn't expect it to be 100 years. And as if that wasn't enough, Link didn't have any of his memories! No knowledge on anything beyond walking!
At least she got some satisfaction when he had hissed at the old man.
Zelda knew full well that the old man was the ghost of her dad, but honestly? He made her pray until she fainted in very cold springs back before the calamity. She has had plenty of time to see how most fathers acted, and it was largely the opposite of what King Rhoam had acted like. Also, she saw how most people wouldn't rely on children to save them.
Zelda had mentally disowned the king after just 3 months of watching the kingdom.
Link walked out of the Shrine of Resurrection, and Zelda's attention snapped to him. Link seemed pretty confused, but it shouldn't be too bad, right? It had been 100 years since he had last walked, it made sense that he would be a little bit confused.
Then Zelda had to reevaluate her thought of him being only a bit confused, as he went up to a rabbit and... Greeted it?
She wasn't sure what it was, but it wasn't in hylian.
The bunny wasn't too scared, so eventually Link managed to get the bunny in his lap. Zelda was completely jealous. She wanted a bunny too! But all she got was a distorted monstrosity of a demonic being that wanted to kill her.
Link was the favorite child of nature, clearly. Birds, squirrels, and even a Blupee came up to him for pets!
Also, what the politics was that language he was speaking in?!?
Zelda just sort of watched the old man after that. She thoroughly enjoyed the old man's looks of confusion, annoyance, wonder, and boredom. And especially his later look of anger and disappointment when Link ran away with all the creatures when the old man tried to talk to Link. Link didn't even say hello back, he just ran with the wilderness.
Zelda may be a bit jealous, but Link was her friend. She could probably ask him to teach her how to pet wild animals.
But she really did like how mad the old man was after the encounter.
