26. Eyes

He could feel it. Every eye in the room watching him. Every doll, poster and figurine staring at him when he looked away. He swore he could see their eyes dart back to position every so often out of the corner of his eye. He knew it was coming and soon. He screamed out into the room for it to take him. To get it over with but the room was dead silent. He collapsed onto his bed, the days of sleep deprivation catching up to him as his eyes fell shut. As he did he could feel the eyes on him again, a presence looming over him. He wanted to open his eyes again, to stare back at them and force them too look away but he couldn't. His eyes were too heavy. In his last moments of consciousness he felt it wrap a hand around his ankle. Knowing he wouldn't wake up again.
