He was the feared Purple Dragon and she, his Azaleas, his anchor to the world. How they met was unknown to most but everyone knew one thing. Together, they were formidable.
As the first rays of the sun cast beautiful orange hues on the grey background, the Azaleas lay in her bed, admiring her lover's delicate features. To her, he was the lightning to her thunderstorm, a brave and fearless dragon, who would go beyond the three realms to keep the ones he loved safe. Fondness brimming in her eyes, she ran one hand through his soft purple tresses, while the other rested on his abdomen, encased in his own large, calloused hand. A shrill ring disturbed this peaceful morning and the Azaleas sighed as she retracted her hands and laid back, closing her eyes, cursing every celestial being in existence.
She distinctly heard his slightly hoarse and deep morning voice which felt like she was experiencing heaven and hell altogether, yet somehow was grounded to the earth. She smiled with closed eyes as she wandered down the thought train. The next time she opened her eyes, she felt like she was seeing the entire galaxy and the said galaxy was staring back at her. She was entranced as she reached out a hand to cup her beloved's cheek. "Good morning my dragon." She said as she traced meaningless shapes on his cheek.
The beautiful man hovering over her leaned into her touch, for she was his life and his everything. "Good morning my Azaleas." He said, as he placed a delicate and soft kiss on her lips eliciting a melodious laugh from the woman laying below him. He admired her features as the early morning light illuminated her silky complexion, casting beautiful shadows over her face, her eyes like whirlpools which dragged him in no matter what he did. She was his, beautiful yet deadly like the Azaleas flower.
"Are you okay darling?" She questioned as her smile was replaced by a concerned frown, one that painted lines on her forehead and temples. He rolled off her as he exhaled, eyes suddenly sorrowful. "I have to assist Ash with a job.'' “Do I need to be there?” Her eyes full of love and care as she gazed at him. “I didn't ask. Will you come with me?” Shorter asked as an amused smile crept on Alex’s face. “You know it. He is my brother after all. I’ll get ready.” She got off the bed to get ready while the handsome dragon was left alone with his thoughts.
