You wake up to your phone ringing. Groaning in displeasure, you squint at the screen, the name on the Caller ID being Pewds aka PewDiePie, your older cousin.
You pick up, your groggy soft voice barely above a whisper. "Hello?" An energetic voice greets you explaining that he along with Seán and a couple of other people. He asks you if you want to play and you reply with a "Lemme set up." He responds with an okay, proceeding to send you the link to their discord call and the code to the Among Us lobby. It takes you a couple of minutes to get ready, as everything else was already set up by you. You boot up your PC. You are in a decent mood, so you decide to do a live stream.
Doing what you need, you start your live stream, greeting your followers. "Hello Ghosties! I hope you all are having a wonderful day! Today I'm planning to play Among Us with Felix, Jack and a couple of mystery people." You grin, but remember that you are a faceless YouTuber so no one can see you. You take a deep breath and click on the link provided to you by Felix. You're greeted by loads of chaos so you decide to stay muted for the time being.
You then proceed to join the Among Us lobby, your little purple astronaut with a fun sticker on its head dancing around. That drew attention to you. "Who's that?" A feminine voice enquiries. "They're hereeeeee!" Felix exclaims. "Meet Anonymous everyone! They are the complete opposite of Corpse!" Felix said, as you raise your eyebrows at the mention of an unfamiliar name. "Hello everyone." You greet, your voice drawing a lot of gasps. "Jesus! You were right!" A small, masculine voice says. You look at the screen to see the name Sykkuno flashing on the screen as the guy continued talking.
You all introduce yourselves with this Corpse person yet to join. Just as you think about that, a black astronaut with cat ears enters both the lobby and the call. "The Devil's here!" Rae yells and you wince a bit at the loudness. "Anonymous, say hi!" She urges and you oblige. "Uh...hi?""Whaddup Baby~" A deep voice filters through your headset which causes you to jump. "Holy fuxk! Is that Corpse?!" You exclaim, trying to process everything. A masculine laugh echoes through, sending shivers down your spine. "Yes I'm Corpse." You laugh nervously, suddenly feeling self conscious.
Right then, all of you get kicked out of the lobby which causes you to laugh. You all rejoin, starting the game. In bold blue letters, the word 'CREWMATE' flashes on your screen and you let out a relived noise as you find yourself in the Cafeteria of the SKLED map. You walk off to Admin to do your card swipe task. It was one task that you hated with your life. You were always unable to get it right and often died in this very place. A black astronaut enters the room and stands beside you seemingly doing the task too as you're busy cussing out the card swipe. A laugh echoes through your headset again as you yelp, realizing that you had forgotten to mute your mic and the proximity chat was also on. Since then, you and Corpse do all your tasks together and very soon you realize that it was late and you log off saying your good-byes.
You plop on your bed letting your thoughts wander to the events of the day, a blush forming on your cheeks when you think of Corpse. What is this weird feeling.. You think. Little did you know, you had caught feelings for a certain deep voiced faceless YouTuber.
