You and Lilia had different paths that would most likely end up meeting in the end. Being warriors for a never-ending war only leads to two things, blood or peace.

As for the general deep crimson enveloped his vision. Your final moments loomed over you as your wounds only got more dangerous. You couldn't quite see or smell anything in particular.

Your senses were blurred by the tears that fell onto your face. When he was finally able to get you to safety time seemed to slow down for you. You rested on something soft, the familiar feeling of a bed touching your back. You felt someone take your hand in their palm.

The feeling of a shooting arrow impaling your chest surrounded you as you heard him cry. He cried out for you as you could only furrow your brow, in an attempt to get rid of the pain of the other faes treating your wounds.

You heard him mutter nonsense. You closed your eyes. Your past actions flash through your mind.

"Come closer, let me be with you at least for tonight..." You remembered him telling you. "I can't Lilia, you know I can't."

"Well at least for tonight yeah? I'm not sure I'll be able to see you anytime soon after tonight. So please?"

"I'm sorry but maybe next time?"

Lilia, he was always there when you needed him. You were sad that you wouldn't be able to be there for him anymore. Tears fell from your eyes as you opened your eyes to look at him.

The nurses treating you were trying to get him to leave. You were so incredibly hopeless. You could barely move your body, truth be told if you were anything else but a fae you would most likely be dead already.

Your father was human but luckily for you, you were able to get most of your mother's genes. Your slow aging and strong body allowed you to be someone that the queen could rely on.

You regret a lot of things in your life, for instance not being better at certain things. Obviously, if you had been the strongest amongst the people that you were fighting maybe you wouldn't be like this.

Lilia reached for you as you didn't dare move from your spot on the bed. The irritated nurse demanded for him to leave once more as Lilia began to slowly leave the medical tent.

He turned to look at you once more as he saw your hurt smile. "I'm sorry but maybe next time, Lilia?"

...

Lilia was often left alone with his thoughts. Now that time had passed he was to start a new school year while accompanying Malleus. Silver who was Lilia's son would be officially joining them soon.

He would often think of you. Trying his best to remember how you looked like, down to the last detail. The way you spoke, the way you acted. He would replay it in his head.

Especially the moment when he last spoke to you.

He shook his head to get rid of the dark thoughts swarming through his head. He had missed most of the orientation as once again no one had told Malleus and he had to go himself to try to find him.

Ultimately he couldn't find him anywhere. Lilia had decided to just go ahead himself and see to it that he took the freshmen to the dorm. He let out a sigh of relief when he realized he still hadn't missed his son's turn to go up to the dark mirror.

He walked through the middle of the two sections of seats to go to the front to be able to sit with the other vice house wardens.

As he walked he felt a slight shiver, he walked with diligence as his eyes quickly scanned the room. "Nothing..." He thought to himself. The person that had just been sorted into dismonia walked on the same path he was in. The hood covered your face as you went to sit on your seat.

You began to whisper at the person next to you telling them how nerve-racking being in front of everyone was. Lilia's breath hitched, he was certainly not expecting that. That sounded...well...like you. He had arrived at the row at the front where he would be sitting with a dumbfounded look on his face.

The orientation ended without any problems. The other house wardens began leaving as they took their respective groups back to their dorms.

...

The sun had set and mostly everyone was back at their respective dorm. The moon lit up the sky as Lilia moved from pillar to pillar. It was almost impossible to get you to be alone with him.

For some odd reason, he could never find you, or when he did something was covering his view of your face. It was almost like someone was playing tricks on him. "No fair...that's my job!"

Finally, he was able to corner you as he saw you walk into one of the club rooms. "Photography club..." Lilia read in his mind.

Lilia teleported himself in front of the door. He looked through the glass and there you were scanning through a file holder as you put away some of the photos you had taken that day.

His heart thumped rapidly in his chest as he quietly opened the door, sneakily entering the room without you noticing. Lilia planned to surprise you when you turned around from your spot in front of the file cabinet. He was hanging upside down from the ceiling like a bat.

He heard you hum in joy. "Finally finished organizing." You spoke to yourself. Lilia smiled widely, he always did love hearing you speak. He was anxious as he waited for you to turn around. When you finally did your eyes widened. He expected you to scream but you didn't.

"Okay...maybe that's not them, I remember them screaming at the littlest things." He thought to himself as he frowned.

He saw your hand extend at lightning speed. A slapping sound echoed throughout the room as Lilia was once again left dumbfounded. "Ahhhh!" You yelled as you booked it out of the room. Lilia dropped down to the floor, landing smoothly feet first.

"Delayed reaction...okay yeah it's them." He smiled brightly as he ran after you, able to catch up in no time.

"Hey!" He called out to you as your vision was filled with sparks of green. He had teleported right in front of you. "Augh! Lilia stop playing tricks on me!" You told him angrily.

He was surprised, "You know my name?" He asked you in confusion. You raised your brow. "Yeah, you are my vice house warden how could I not?" Your answer left him disappointed. Almost hurt as he wished you remembered him.

"Well, why don't we play a bit more? Just for tonight, I promise!" You tilted your head, thinking of a response to give him. You let a sigh slip past your lips before you gave him a smile. His heart ached as he heard the dreadful words you always used to tell him.

"I'm sorry but maybe next time?"
