'My Lady, My Knight' was a webtoon I had started earlier in the year when it had a few chapters. It was one of those webtoons that had a badass female lead that you couldn't help loving and even more lovable main characters. Elowyn, the female lead was an only child of a Duke who had lost his wife-her mother, when she was young. So, the Duke feared for her life and kept her secluded and closed in their estate. But somehow she had managed to escape, and she cut her hair and even drank a magic potion that made her features more manly and changed the color of her eyes.

It's only after almost a year of staying as an Imperial Knight that she meets both the Knight Captain and the Crown Prince, who both find out she's a girl later on. The webtoon goes on with different events that the main cast deals with. Each character had their endearing traits but most people liked the second-male lead. And for simple reasons-he was smart and good-looking.

But it seemed like I had to move on. According to the comments, it was over. I looked at the comment I wrote last week.

'What?! At least say you're going on a break or that the story is on hold till we forever hold our peace. But DISCONTINUED?! What about our precious Cassius?! This can't be real!'

... it was a bit dramatic but that's how I felt. And according to the other 312 likes, other people felt like that too.

"Are you still reading those comics of yours?" Someone said from the sink. I looked at the empty stall. I didn't even hear her come out.

"You're always reading them during your break. Are they that good?" She asked as she washed her hands. I recognized her as one of the assistant chiefs from the kitchen. Sometimes we'd have the same break time.

I smiled. "Yes, yes they are." I put my phone in my bag. "You should give them a shot." I walked to the empty stall.

"Maybe I will." She then turned around, facing me, and noticed my stained clothes. "I can probably guess what happened. I heard that guy from the kitchen." She clicked her tongue. "You shouldn't let it get to this point. You always go easy on them."

She said it as if I could easily start a fight with a difficult customer. "It's easier to let them have their way, plus I don't want to trouble the Boss."

"Right, I think he was looking for you."

I paused before closing the stall. "Really? Okay, I'll go to see him when I'm done."

I changed out of my clothes as fast as I could so I didn't make the boss wait.

I was in and out of the bathroom. My break time had finished a while ago but I was planning on going home anyway, so it was fine.

I reached the office and knocked on the door. I heard a clear 'come in' and opened the door.

"Sir, I heard you wanted to see me," I said as I sat on the opposite seat.

He nodded and smiled at me. "That's right. I'm sorry about what happened. Are you okay?"

I nodded. "It wasn't anything serious," I said and just waited for him to speak. I was nervous as to why he wanted to speak to me. There was no way it was about my work. I was meticulous when it came to the work I did. Did I love my job? No, but it paid the bills so I did my work well.

"Uhm, well, here is some money for the trouble, and you don't need to go on break time; you can go home." He awkwardly tapped his foot underneath the table.

My eyebrows furrowed. "Why are you giving me this?" I asked even though I had a good guess about what was happening but I couldn't believe it. I held the envelope in my hand and opened it.
