[Excerpt]:
"Does it bother you?" He asked, after an incisive moment of silence.
"Does...what bother me?" I immediately returned, unable to decipher the objective behind the closed-ended question.
"The way I stare. At you." He pondered, as his dark...
Kendall seemed to seamlessly transition into his authoritative mode, pulling away from me and annoyingly stalking towards the girl. She stepped back fearfully, as his pestering aura began to draw nearer to her. I almost felt bad watching the intimidating and stubborn man reach behind her to open the bedroom door wider and haul her back out.
He towered over her small frame, with the top of her head barely reaching his chest. She took a large gulp and glanced into his steel irises. Clearing his throat, Kendall placed a firm hand on her upper back and offered her the hint of a chilling smile. Yet, there was something much darker that lurked beneath.
"Tell me, what's your name?" He darkly bellowed, lowering his head to make direct eye contact with the girl.
"Leslie. Uh, my name's Leslie." She seeped, peering at his hand that now rested on her shoulder.
"Leslie, why don't you go use the bathroom down the hall and to your left." He directed, his tone indicating that his words had been more of an order, rather than a suggestion.
"But, someone was already in that—" She began to say, but stopped herself from finishing when she noticed Kendall's expression morph into a frown.
"-Okay." She defeatedly quipped, nodding her head back and forth eagerly to show her compliance. Kendall removed his hand from her shoulder, allowing the girl to take a necessary step back from his imposing presence.
"Oh and Leslie," he added, just as she took another step away from him.
"You didn't see anything here, now did you?" His voice deepened, as his eyes inspected hers for any sign of weakness. The way his black orbs intensely peered into her outer exterior was enough to etch her fear into every wall in the room.

"No I didn't see a thing." She robotically repeated, quickly turning and running out of the room. After she was gone, he pressed the door further in, only leaving an inch of space in the crack.
"Now, why did you have to scare that poor little girl off like that? It wasn't her fault she needed to use the restroom." I defended, wondering if the man took pleasure in making others squirm before him.
"Well, Sasha. Aren't you the one who wants to keep our relationship private?" He asked, appearing to test my position.
"Yes, you're right. I do want to keep this private. But, that doesn't mean you should openly treat people like...that." I scolded, placing a hand on my hip. I glared at him, while he gallantly approached me. He inhaled a sharp breath, before gathering his thoughts to speak again.
"I'm sorry. I just get very protective over you. I don't want the media, or fans, or whoever to ruin what we have going on and what we're trying to build." He admitted, using one of his hands to stroke my upper arm. Imaginary butterflies began to populate the trail he left behind, while I tried to remind myself that I had to leave. Now.
"I forgive you. But...I really do have to go." I said, stepping away from his intoxicating scent.
However, Kendall used his hand to latch onto me one more time and pull me back towards him. His other hand transitioned to the back of my neck, while he blew a light breath of air over my face. The action had caused a certain sore area of my body to tremble.
"Come here." He probed, guiding my head closer to him, as he gave me one of his heart-fluttering kisses.
For a moment, I was effectively caught under his alluring spell. I was captivated by the maniac of a charmer who currently caressed my lips with his own. Before I could fully lose myself in the moment, the kiss seemed to end before it even started.
Kendall surprisingly pulled away from me, which caused me to throw him a questioning gaze. He knew I wanted more, but it seemed he enjoyed leaving me high and dry in an unfulfilled state. I shook my head, squeezing his hand one last time as I said goodbye.
