As he searched for the ingredients, I decided to put on an apron.

We were making brownies because I wanted to keep myself entertained and didn't have anyone else around.

That's why I didn't want him to leave.

I mean we could've- khalas.

I told him I needed to use the bathroom and excused myself.

When I entered, I looked around at the enormous and opulent bathroom.

I locked the door behind me and glanced up at the ceiling.

Today, I had an encounter with my mother and got into a physical altercation with her.

However, there was a part of me that felt frightened, and I couldn't understand why.

I'm sure she'll never leave me be.

I went to the sink, turned on the faucet, and splashed my face with cold water.

No tears, no tears.

I removed my apron, turned off the water, and used the towel to dry my face.

Then, I paced back and forth in the bathroom.

I had this lump in my throat, so I turned on the tap and let the coolest water flow.

I washed my face and took a deep breath as I turned it off.

I get it. I dried my face with a towel and just stared at myself in the mirror.

Before leaving, I glanced at my reflection, feeling completely empty.

When I looked in the mirror, all I saw was her.

I didn't want to resemble her in any way.

I would even go as far as changing my own appearance if necessary.

You have changed.

I swiftly applied lip gloss and did my lashes.

I fixed my hair and let out a sigh.

It's getting hot, and I really want to take off my tights.

But I ignored the thought and continued on, putting my apron back on as I walked down the hallway towards the kitchen.

When I got there, I noticed all the ingredients were laid out, but he was busy on his phone.
