Soooo, I did a little thing with the bits of lore I got from the movies
Longclaw, who went be Collie when she was younger, and Locke (Knuckles' father) knew each other since they were seven
They knew their friendship was forbidden by their tribes, but they still cared for each other
They started having feeling for each other at 10, and Locke confessed when they were 13
The two were in love
Then Collie's father died when she was 15 and she was put in the care of a much stricter family, who forbade her from ever meeting Locke again
The two didn't see each other for years
Locke got married to another Echidna later on and had a son, but his wife died in childbirth
Collie, who changed her name to Longclaw, and adopted a baby Hedgehog she found alone
Then, things went up in flames, even more than already
Longclaw was the only Owl left, and only about a dozen Echidnas were left
They found Longclaw's hideout and attacked
Locke didn't recognize her, and he was wearing a mask
It was only after Locke shot an arrow at her and Longclaw delivered a killing blow and shattered his mask, did the two realize who they were
