Origins and Beginnings

(Authors note.) (Sorry if this isn't as good as other books you've read, I am a rookie writer, this is the first book I've written. Also, there may be stuff that isn't too mature, but may be pretty violent in the later chapters. So just a heads up! Also, if you see a line of asterisks it means a change of area or change of perspective. AKA a scene change. )

Isaac Smith was just an ordinary kid who spent his summers playing video games, reading books, and spending time outdoors with his friends. He had turquoise eyes, auburn hair, and fair skin. He was 12 years old and was ready to take on the heat of summer. However this summer would be different. You see he was booting up his gaming console and noticed he had to update his software. So that's what he did after it finished updating it asked him to enter code. It read, "Please enter code for the update to finish." Isaac said, "Let's try up,up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B button, A button, and start." Suddenly the screen lit up and then a jolt of electricity shocked him unconscious.

     "Ugh what the heck?" He said as he felt stronger than normal and yet it wasn't adrenaline. He decided to go to his room and just by thinking about it he was there. "What in the world?!" He said. "Am I dreaming or did I just teleport?" He thought he should tell his parents but as he ran there he realized two things one, he had super speed and two, he couldn't tell them. "They'll think I've gone insane."

     "I see how it is, a typical hero origin story. Can't tell their parents or friends." He realized that he could be a super-hero. "I need a costume though." He then used an old Halloween costume of his and some basic sewing skills to make a dark blue and red costume and an eye mask. "Not the most unique thing, but it's all I could make." He said. Then his phone began vibrating and it suddenly flew into his hand just by thinking/focusing. "Telekinesis? Dang I'm overpowered enough as is. I guess I have telekinesis, slight super strength, super speed, and teleportation. This is crazy!" He said. 

     He checked his phone and his news app told him there was a break-in at a nearby jewelry store. "Dang I guess crime rates are going up in Raleigh and in Garner. I guess it's my job." Then Isaac teleported to the jewelry store. It was called "12 Carats." A basic name, but it wasn't garbage. He saw two masked guys with some jewelry and money. "Oi!" Said Isaac "Didn't anyone tell you stealing is wrong?" The thugs started laughing at him. "Kid, Halloween isn't for another five months! Go play dress up somewhere else!" 

Then the thugs got the loot stolen from their hands by Isaac using his telekinesis. "I'm not that young!" He said as he ran inside and gave the loot back to one of the workers. The worker was too stunned to say anything and started putting things back. Meanwhile the thugs ran away. "John are we intoxicated?" Said one of the thugs to his partner. "No we're as sober as can be Mark." Said John. Suddenly Isaac appeared in front of them. "Look kid, I don't know who you are, but back off!" Said Mark as he grabbed a pistol and fired it at Isaac! The bullet hit but it didn't do anything. No bleeding, no pain, no nothing. "Was that bullet made out of foam?" He said as he realized he was uninjured. 

The thugs both said something obscene in surprise, dropped their guns, and ran off before getting caught in between the cops and Isaac. They surrendered and the police asked what Isaac was doing. "Teaching them that stealing is wrong." One of the thugs [presumably Mark] yells "Who do you think you are?" Isaac couldn't use his real name so he said "Storm_wolf, protector of North Carolina!" The officers looked stunned as he teleported away. "Well I'll be darned." Said one of the officers. "A real life super hero."

Storm_wolf got home and changed out his costume and now he was just plain old Isaac. "What a day!" He said as he put on his headphones and started listening to some music. He thought about how he became a super-hero and how his little gaming console gave him powers. He just sat there thinking if anyone would care since he was a super-hero. He didn't care about fame. However little did he know that being a hero would come at a great cost.

For as he was relaxing, a scientist was discovering the power to travel dimensions, create portals, and use advanced weapons other scientists could only dream of. For he would be Storm_Wolf's greatest enemy. This villain wouldn't be some random criminal oh no, he would be a super-villain. A powerful one at that.

"Oh ho. This is extraordinary, my powers really are real." Stated the doctor. "Huh, the news seems crazier than usual. Oh, what's this? A super hero, well how fascinating. Perhaps I can obtain a DNA sample and study his powers. At least he looks male. He probably is." Stated the doc. "I guess I, Doctor James Block am not the only one on this earth or in the universe with powers. " He stated. "Very well. Storm_wolf, just you wait. You shall have a taste of what I can do!" As Dr. James exclaimed this, he finished the battery of the rail-gun he was making. "But what should my alias be, I wonder? How about.... Dr. Omni. It rolls off the tongue well." He finished his sentence and activated his rail-gun after inserting the battery. "Soon, oh yes. Very soon Storm_wolf!" As he said "Storm_wolf" He fired his rail-gun on a training dummy, completely destroying it. "Very, soon!" Exclaimed the doctor.
