Connecting flights~
i.
In clouded climb of coupled currents
altitude shifts creating spiraling drops,
altered by flicked feather tip, as oars dip
angling deeper into new breezes stirring us.
ii.
Caught between rocky crag mountain crest,
glassed lake below at rest, we flow within
rarer air of the Peregrine. Warmed sun's gloss
downy backs dried crystal dew of salted dawn.
iii.
Ripping roars past us rush, wild winds hushed
as wings overlap we align, our soul consignment
firms paired peace, in constant assurance that Love
knows us, shows us oft to be a favored two.
iv.
Call answered in sacred circles of gathering
where heavy tom toms drum chests lone rhythm,
extending warmth of heart beyond fleshed frame,
eclipsing spheres spun free to encompass both.
v.
Soft breasted compassion enfolding nested,
ease as comets tease darting flame chased heights
traced, burnt umber skies skidding deep nights indigo
clasped close whimpers heat, melting inked horizons.
vi.
In unison we glide thicker atmospheres
caught emotions swell, welling upwards it fills
into spills of blurring falls, then lifts adjusting
origins, honing natures roamed glade and pine.
