Chapter 18: When Legends Meet Students

Meanwhile in another area of Vale.
Weiss and a few others were walking down the street after the whole massive group broke away to do their own things.
Nebula: So, what was the first theater trip like? Like what songs, who and all.
Weiss: Well, it-
???: C'mon you sons of bitches! You all signed up for this! Do you wanna live forever or something! C'mon!
Weiss/Ruby: 'Didn't we hear that in the theater?'
Marines: No sir!
The group then turned the corner before crashing into the Remnantian marines who signed up for an extra training session with their First Sergeant which was running throughout Vale for 10 miles, then to weight training.

The two groups then collided.
???: Oh fuckin' hell!

??? then got up before helping the kids up as the marines got themselves up.

Weiss: It's ok Mr...?
Dan: Daly, Daniel Daly though I go by Dan, USMC First Sergeant.
The students the quickly saluted to their superior.
Students: Sergeant sir!
Dan: Hm? You all are marines?
Nebula: Yes sir! We are all Private First Classes!
Dan: Well, I'll be damned. What unit you a part of?
Weiss: 6th Marine Regiment, 3rd Battalion!
Dan: Hm, Company?
Nebula: Company K sir!
Dan: Ah, Lieutenant Newport's Company.
Ruby: I-it's actually Captain, sir!
Dan: Captain? Well, I'll be... seems Newport got promoted!
Dan then looked to the marines who were standing at attention.
Dan: Well, tell Newport I said congratulations on the promotion! Now let's move you sons of bitches! I ain't training you all to stand around! Go!
The marines started to jog down the sidewalk.
Ruby: Q-question...
Dan the quickly turned around.
Dan: What's up Private Red!
Ruby: U-uh... h-how do you know the Captain?
Dan: Why? We served in Belleau Wood of course! He was separated from the Company he was commanding and linked with us until he got back with them!
Ruby: O-oh....
Dan: Anyways! I will talk to you kids later! I'm sure you have lots of questions about me and Newport since we go back a bit!
Dan then turned around and jogged back with the marines.
Dan: Let's move ladies!
