The city of Central City bustled with its usual energy, its citizens unaware of the impending storm that would disrupt their lives. The moon cast a pale glow over the desolate rooftop of a towering skyscraper in Central City. Ayana stood, her silhouette blending seamlessly with the darkness, her gaze fixated on the city below. After six long years, she had returned to the place she once called home. The city that held both her past and her future.

Ayana was no stranger to the world of darkness and secrecy. Raised in the same loving household as The Flash himself, Ayana's journey had taken her down a path no one could have anticipated. It was a path that had led her to the League's doorstep, where she had learned to harness her physical and mental skills to become a formidable force.

Ayana had honed her skills under the watchful eye of Ra's al Ghul, the enigmatic and ruthless leader of the League. She had become a master of shadows, her every move a dance of calculated steps. She had risen through the ranks, becoming a high-ranking member known for her precision and deadly efficiency. She had embraced the shadows, becoming a formidable assassin in her own right, feared by her enemies and loyal to the League's cause.

Now, as she stood atop the rooftop, her black attire blending seamlessly with the night, Ayana's heart brimmed with apprehension and determination. She had returned to Central City, unsure of what awaited her. She had buried her secrets deep within her soul, hoping never to revisit them. But now, as she gazed upon the city's beauty, she couldn't help but wonder if she had made the right decision.

A flash of red caught her attention. She followed the streak as it raced below her. "So, this is the hero they've deemed The Flash," she murmured, her tone tinged with amusement. An acrid smell burned the back of her throat. She looked around wildly, searching for the origin of the odor. At first, she thought it might be some chemical reaction, but then she noticed a green fog spreading across the rooftops. The thick cloud shrouded the surrounding buildings like a veil, obscuring her vision. Then suddenly, her body jerked forward, knocking her off balance.

Instinctively, she tightened her grip on her staff, hoping to regain control of her body. As the haze cleared, Ayana found herself lying flat on her back. Instantly, she shot up, standing tall as she surveyed the rooftop.

The flashing lights from the emergency vehicles filled her vision. Smoke billowed into the sky as firefighters struggled to extinguish the flames.

Her hands trembled slightly, the incident's aftermath still lingering within her mind. Something didn't feel right. Despite having fought alongside the League of Assassins, she had never encountered anything like this before. There was something unnatural about the entire situation. Everything happened so quickly. There was no time to react or even to think. She ran her fingers through her hair, trying to quell the jumble of emotions and thoughts swirling through her head.

One thought stood out amongst the rest, 'Barry.'

Panic swept over her at the thought of her brother, the brother she hadn't seen in six year. He was here too. He could be hurt. A surge of adrenaline pumped through her veins, pushing her to act. And so, she dashed off the roof.

Her feet pounded against the pavement as she made her way toward the Central City Police Station. She had kept tabs on him over the years, so she knew he was a CSI at the police station.

She prayed to whoever was listening that she would find her brother at the precinct.  If he wasn't there, then she would continue on to find him wherever he might be.

As she made her way towards the police station, she heard a familiar voice. "Ayana?"

Confusion flooded her as she turned around. Stood in front of her was the red streak himself. The notorious Flash. Her blue eyes met his hazel and she felt as if she would collapse.

She would know those eyes anywhere.

Her eyes widened in surprise when she recognized the person speaking. Her knees weakened, threatening to give way beneath her. With a wave of relief, she threw her arms around Barry's neck, holding on tight. "Thank God you're safe."

"How did you-" Ayana cut her brother off.

"I'm your sister," She gave him a slight smile, "doesn't matter how hard you try to hide, I'll always find you."

Barry grinned,  wrapping his arms around her shoulders. "Hey sis," he whispered, brushing his lips against her forehead. "It's good to see you again."

With tears welling up in her eyes, she hugged him tighter. "I missed you," she choked out.

Barry chuckled, tightening his embrace around her. "I think that was the longest round of hide and seek we've ever played."

"I was always the better hider," she laughed, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Suddenly, a piercing cry pierced the silence. They broke apart as they spotted a young girl in the distance. "Go," Ayana smiled at her brother, "run Barry, run."

He nodded his head, his smile brightening as he ran off. As he disappeared into the distance, Ayana watched pride swelling  in her chest.

It wasn't but moments later that he was back at her side, "This is going to take some getting used to." She grinned, her sadness slowly dissipating.
