IN WHICH,
In the 31st century, humankind has been mining exoplanets for resources, aided by a legion of Worker Drones that do all the hard work. One day, a core collapse wipes out all the humans on the planet Copper 9, leaving the leftover Worker Drones free to live their own lives in the leftover ruins. Unfortunately for them, their creators at the intergalactic Mega-Corp JCJensonnote don't take kindly to independent AI, so they send a group of violent killing machines, the Murder—*ahem* Disassembly Drones, to wipe them out, forcing the Worker Drones to hide behind a series of metal doors.
Y/N is the sole survivor of the humans that once resided on Copper 9, having been hidden away in a strongbox by her parents when the blast happened. She was found by the Worker Drones shortly after, who decided to take her in. Y/N was eventually adopted by Khan Doorman, head of the Outpost 3 WDF, being raised alongside her "sister" Uzi. 17 years later, Y/N is now a teenage girl, and is rather content with the life that she lives. Not only does she have a family that (sort of) loves her, she's rather popular at school for being the only human that still walks Copper 9. Yet, Y/N can't help but wonder about her true origins, especially what other humans may be like.
However, until she finds an answer to these questions, Y/N finds herself being dragged into Uzi's fight against the Murder Drones. But when they meet the cheerful yet dim Murder Drone "N", Y/N discovers that both Uzi and N are just as disposable to their corporate overlords. Now, the three begin plotting a way off Copper 9 to get back at them. This plan gets derailed, though, when strange and often deadly things start to happen not just to the drones, but to Uzi herself. As the mysteries (and bodies) start to pile up, Y/N and Uzi set out with N and his Ax-Crazy co-worker V to decrypt the answers about the Murder Drones' true nature........
And while they're at it, Y/N might just finally learn about her mysterious past...........
