As Y/N and Bakugo engaged in conversation, the sudden blare of an alarm reverberated throughout the area, jolting them both from their discussion. Startled, they exchanged puzzled glances.

"What the hell's going on?" Bakugo, unusually composed, inquired, almost as if the system was responding to his question.

"Warning, level 3 security breach. All students, please exit the building in an orderly manner," the automated voice announced, though the chaos that followed was far from orderly.

Amid the ensuing pandemonium, panic gripped the students, prompting a mad rush to flee the lunch area. Y/N was no exception, though Bakugo, while taken aback, remained remarkably unfazed. Y/N's curiosity about the situation was eclipsed by the urgency of the moment. In the crowded hallway, the crowd pushed and shoved, inadvertently forcing Bakugo into Y/N's path. Their bodies made contact, and Y/N felt the warmth of his breath on her neck, sending shivers down her spine. A rush of butterflies swarmed her stomach, and for the first time in a long while, she felt safe. It was as if Bakugo's gaze alone had the power to dissolve her trust issues, which had been born from her father's abandonment. She pondered the unexpected sensation, her thoughts swirling until Bakugo playfully flicked her forehead, snapping her back to reality.

"I'm fine, don't worry your idiot head about it," she insisted, forcing a smile and hoping he wouldn't see through it. Luckily, he dismissed her unease and instead grew irritated at her for calling him an idiot. In that moment, Y/N lost herself in their interaction. Fear seemed to have dissipated, and she tried to distance herself to avoid getting more flustered. However, another push from the crowd caused Bakugo to unintentionally pull her closer into an embrace.

Stunned, Y/N stood there, bewildered, before hesitantly returning the hug, even though Bakugo seemed reluctant.

"Why did I have to end up hugging a damn dumbass like you?" Bakugo grumbled, though he made no effort to break away. Y/N couldn't help but smile at his words, a genuine one this time. Bakugo noticed the change in her expression and, after a brief glance, returned his attention to her.

"So that's your real smile, huh? Damn idiot, you really thought I wouldn't notice?" he remarked, causing her to smile even wider. Then, he continued, "And you had to act all cheery while comforting me, even though I did jack shit for you."

Y/N tried to apologize, but Bakugo cut her off. "Your apologies are starting to annoy me, dumbass. You're always apologizing for everything as if it's your fault. Just shut up already."

She nodded, accepting his unconventional form of comfort, even though she believed it was her fault and that if she had been happier, he wouldn't have noticed. She pondered her response for a moment before voicing her thoughts.

"I mean, not really," she began, deciding to leave it at that without delving deeper into her emotions. Bakugo looked confused for a moment, not entirely sure what she meant. Before they could continue their conversation, Iida's loud voice drew their attention.

"LISTEN UP, EVERYTHING IS OKAY! IT'S JUST THE MEDIA OUTSIDE. THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. EVERYTHING'S FINE. WE'RE U.A STUDENTS. WE NEED TO REMAIN CALM AND PROVE THAT WE'RE THE BEST," Iida declared, calming the students. Y/N burst into laughter, causing Bakugo to look at her with a puzzled expression.

"Why the hell are you laughing?" he asked, tilting his head.

"I was just imagining you saying all that. It would've been really funny. I can't even imagine you with Iida's personality," she said, clutching her stomach as she laughed. Bakugo rolled his eyes.

"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY? YOU'RE SO FUCKING CONFIDENT IF YOU THINK IT WAS FINE TO SAY THAT TO FUCKING MY FACE," he retorted, his irritation clear. Y/N stopped laughing, her forced smile replacing her laughter.
