When you were a young child, your father always explained to you how the world around you changed. He asserts that every person is the same. They were only acting empathetic toward others while they were all truly being self-centered. And when people are kind to one another, it's usually for nefarious reasons. Which also translates to egotism. He constantly tells you to be egotistical, especially when playing soccer, for this reason. He gives you that instruction so that you can improve not only your kicking ability but also your style of thinking. He didn't express his meaning to you specifically, of course. You'll have to figure it out for yourself. And by understanding it, you'll definitely defeat your father.

All of you are piled onto buses, which are driven across a mountain in Blue Lock. When everyone got off the bus, phones and wallets were seized. Each of you was given a uniform with a letter and a number on it.

After getting your uniform, you continued to go in the direction of the restroom. After all, your binder still has to be fixed. The clothing is a typical body suit that stretches and tightly encircles your frame. Your expression drops when you see your body. Your curved was almost exposed by your clothing. To hide that, you choose to wore a pair of jerseys over them, grunting in irritation to conceal it.

This will do, you thought.

Being the sole female among these men, you ought to keep yourself hidden and take extra precaution. You continue and enter the room where you are supposed to be.

You exhale with relief, finding some solace in the quiet hallway. As soon as you enter the blue lock, you must start working toward your objective. Your body began to slightly quiver as soon as your father's terrifying image crossed your mind. At least, you won't be able to see his face here in blue.

By that, you had opened the door in front of you, and before you could even enter, a letter Z in the upper right corner of the LED TV greeted you, indicating that you were in the wrong room. Before the spiky orange-haired guy could even welcome you, you immediately slammed the door shut in embarrassment.

"Damn it! that was my second day getting lost at this stadium." You muttered under your breath, red staining your cheeks and trying to run away from the room.

After a few wanderings, you finally locate your room. You came to realize that you have just walked too far to reach the bottom of the room.

Unfamiliar faces welcomed you as you walked into the room. Everyone looks at you and wonders how a shrimp like you can play soccer. And why the hell you are wearing your jersey already. You didn't mind them and enter the room, standing in the side of the door.

"H-hello!" greeted the male next to you who was around your age. He has short black hair, a tall build, and a muscular physique. He has huge, round, green eyes with prominent irises.

"Hi." You responded with a grim look on your face. This just served to increase the boy's worry, which he expressed, mumbling, 'What if he's uncomfortable?'

"M-my name is Aoshi Tokimitsu, i-it's nice to meet you." stutter the male as he cups his face from embarrassment.

"I'm Kei, it's nice to meet you too, Tokimitsu." you slightly tugged your lip upward making the male blush again slouching his head.

Another male approached you, his long, gorgeous dark locks reaching his waist. He abruptly leaned toward your face and you leaned back to avoid his very close face. Your heart plummeted when he grabbed your hair and tucked it behind your ear.

"Hey dude, what the hell?"

"I can't help it, your hair is healthy and stylish even though its too short for my liking." told the male not even moving a bit from his leaning position.

"Eh?" is all you could answer.

He then placed his index and thumb fingers upward to touch his chin, humming and probably thinking about something.

"I'm Aryu." he stated tugging some strand of his long hair behind his ear. "Kei, is it?"

You just nodded, making a careful move to not lean forward so you wouldn't make a mistake by closing the gap between you and Aryu.

"Can you... back up a little?" you questioned, staring at him uncomfortably.

"Oh, sorry about that," he stated and backed away, making you breath in relief "that's so unstylish of me."

The TV in the room suddenly flickered on, and bowl-cut appeared on the screen. This made everyone's attention stick to the man on the screen.

"Are you done changing, you lumps of talent?" he asked with a very uninterested voice. "Jinpachi Ego here."

"The others in your room are your roommates and your rivals who will push each other higher." spoke the man. "I used my personal judgements to quantify your abilities and thank. That's the number displayed on your uniform. Now anyone can tell with a glance where you stand amongst the three hundred if you."

You walked towards the corner of the room as you listen to his words.

"That ranking will change by the day and will go up or down depending on training and games. Finally, those in the top five will unconditionally registered...for U-20 World Cup happening six months from now. And those who fail blue lock will forever lose to right represent japan. What you need to succeed here is ego. And so now, we'll hold a little entrance test to measure your aptitude."

The moment he stopped explaining, he scanned his eyes around the room, his eyes gluing on the red orbs that were digging his own holes. You flinched when you noticed the man examining your figure.

"Why are you wearing your jersey?"

Of course he'll ask that.

"I am not defying any rule, am I?" you questioned the man, slightly tilting your head. Ego just twitched his eyebrow and continued on with his words.

"Okay now, time for some tag."
