A few days later…
Bluey

Tomorrow is Valentine's day. Yay. I know I know, I don't sound excited. It's because I don't like Valentine's day very much. I don't know why.
But on the other hand, my friends, especially Chloe, love it.
Ding!
It was a text message from Judo.
-----------------------------------------------------
Judo: Hey Bluey?

Bluey: Yes Judo?

Judo: I'm not going to the dance with you guys.

Bluey: Aww, why not?

Judo: Because, I'm going with Lucky!

Bluey: What! Really?

Judo: Yeah!

Bluey: Congrats!
-----------------------------------------------------
I was happy for Judo, but I felt like something was missing. But I didn't know what.
"Bluey! Hurry! Your don't wanna be late for school!" Mum calls from downstairs.
"Oh yeah. Coming!" I call back. I hurry and brush my teeth and head downstairs.
"Come on Bluey! Why do you always take forever?" Bingo complains to me.
"Bye Mum!" I said and we head out the door.
"I don't take forever." I said back.
"Yeah you do."
"No, I don't."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes!"
"No!"
"YES!"
"NO!"
Yes! And what do you even do up there? Daydream about Mackenzie?"
"No. And how do you even know Mackenzie?"
"I've met you and him."
"How much do you know?" Once I asked I immediately regretted asking.
"That you. Like him."
"No. I don't. Like him."
"Yes you do."
"You don't like who?" Mackenzie said, inurupting our argument.
Wow we argued the whole way here.
"Nobody. Nevermind." I responded.
"Umm, can I speak to you after school Bluey?" He asks looking down at his feet.
"Um, okay!" I said.
"Oooo someone's gotta crush!" Bingo whispered in my ear.
"How does that make me have a crush?" I whispered back, and my face turned red.
"Anyways, where's Lucky and Judo? The bus should be her any minute." I said, and look ahead.
Just then, the bus pulls up.
"Hi guys! Sorry-we're-late!" Lucky said as they ran up to us.
"That's okay." We said, and got on the bus.

Indy POV

"Hey Bluey. I said when she got on the bus.
"Oh hey Indy. Are you sure you don't wanna come with us to the dance? It'll be fun!"
"No. I am not feeling it." I replied.
"Oh okay. I just wanted to make sure." She walks to Chloe and sits down next to her.
I didn't want to tell her the actual truth.
You want to know, right?
You do.
Okay I'll tell you.
Let me start from the beginning…

Two days earlier…

"Hey Indy." Rusty said when I sat next to him in math.
"Hi Rusty." I greeted him cheerfully and pulled out my math book.
"Soo… are you going to the dance?" He asked.
"Um, I don't know. Maybe with my friends."
"Oh okay."
"Are you going?" I asked him.
"Probably not." He sounded disappointed.
The bell rings, and our teacher comes in.
"Morning class!" Mrs Sheepdog said. "Let's get started…"

At lunch

"Hey girls." I said when I came up to Bluey, Winnie and Chloe.
"Hi Indy." They all said.
I sat down with my lunch and started eating my biscuit.
Author's note: Biscuits are what Australians call cookies I think.
"Wait, why do you always eat your biscuits before you actually eat your real food Indy?" Honey says behind us.
"I don't know." I replied.
Beep, beep!
"Oh my phone." I said.
It was Rusty.
-----------------------------------------------------
Rusty: Hey Indy?

Indy: Yeah, Rusty?

Rusty: Can I talk to you after school?

Indy: Umm, sure!
-----------------------------------------------------
"Who texted you?" Chloe asks.
"Nobody. Anyways…" my voiced trailed off.
