His adoptive father. His fucking father did this to him! He was just a boy! A 9 year old boy..

"Make sure no one will know. I got my ticket ready for tomorrow. Keep him in sight."

I'll make sure he'll pay for everything he did.

"Business in the US?" Alex asked. 6am pa lang gising na kami.

"Yeah. Can you handle one day? Kung hindi I had your ticket ready as well"

He stiffened. I knew he wouldn't like to go.

"Alex. I am here." Nginitian ko sya and held his hand.

"I can't.. Hindi ko pa kaya Miguel. Ha-hantayin na lang kita." Alam ko, Alex.. and I'm sorry.

"Okay." I smiled at him.

"You'll go now?"

"My flight is at seven." He was sulking already. Gusto ko sanang isama sya pero di pwede. I knew he wouldn't like going back to that place. To be honest, I'd rather make him stay here instead because whatever happens there.. He does not need to know.

"I'll call you.. It's just one night. I'll be here tomorrow." I said.

"Don't talk to me like I'm a kid." Natawa ako and he punch my arm.

"Shut up."

"Eh ikaw kasi. You keep frowning and pouting and sulking and--"

"I get it! Tsk."

I laughed again.

"Hatid na kita sa office." I offered.

"No. It's late, you'll miss your flight. May kotse naman ako."

I nodded and pulled him in my arms.

"Miguel. Will you see Mrs. Howards?"

"Si Mom? Hmm.. I guess so. She is in New York." I smelt his hair. Ginamit nya yung shampoo ko pero bat iba ang bango nya? I'll never get tired of his scent.

"Say hello for me." He said. Ang hina ng boses nya ah. I lift his chin and there.. He's sulking again. I smiled and kissed the tip of his nose.

"I will. Alam kong mami-miss mo ko. I promise I'll call before you sleep. Better yet just call anytime you want. I'm a phone call away. Okay?"

"Y-yeah.."

"Don't look away. I have only one minute here." He blushed when I peck his lips. He's so cute. If that's an appropriate term, I don't care.

"I love you and I'll do anything for you, Alex." He flush more and I chuckled. I cup his cheek and let my self get lost and kissed him. He wrap his arms around my neck as I skimmed his sweet-sweet mouth.

Then there's that fucking ring of my phone.. Tsk.

"Sorry. Aalis na ko ah. Call me anytime you want." I peck his lips and then his forehead. Sinagot ko yung phone and head out. Since may gamit naman ako sa U.S. all I have to bring is my self and some paper works I need.

"Attorney is everything okay?" I smirked.

Smoothly.. Very smoothly..

Hindi ko gugustuhing lumayo kay Alex ng dahil lang sa wala. Humanda sila.
