Axel was beating himself up inside halfway through his, "breakfast date." Listening to Kaylie speak on and on about how much she's missed them. Missed hanging out, talking, and being together. He didn't believe one word she said.

"How is Sadie?" Axel's attention is back on Kaylie just like that. 'Why is she bringing up Sadie?'

"She's doing good." 'No thanks to you.' Axel clenches a fist under the table. Kaylie was really starting to get on his nerves.

"That's good...I feel terrible for leaving her. I...I just wasn't in a place I could take care of her.. I just hope one day she can forgive me.." Axel stands abruptly and clears his throat.

"I'm gonna use the restroom." Kaylie gives him a cloying look as he walks away. 'Fucking bitch.' In the bathroom, Axel washes his hands slowly while trying to calm himself. 'How can she talk about Sadie like that? After everything she put her through?' It wasn't sitting right with Axel.

After a few deep breaths, Axel makes his way back out to the table. The food was just arriving and Axel was glad for the excuse not to continue talking. He ate his breakfast in peace and berated himself for losing his cool.

Their cutlery clinks as they set it on their plates after finishing. Their waitress was quick to clear everything and leave the bill.

"Will I be able to see you again Axel?" His eyes close momentarily while he grabs cash from his wallet. He didn't want to see the pitiful look on Kaylie's face.

"I won't be agreeing to see you again Kaylie." With a blank expression, he watches hers fall. She scoffs and crosses her arms, covering her shock with anger.

"It's because of that little twerp isn't it? What the hell's so perfect about her?" Axel loses his cool expression and he scowls at Kaylie with disdain.

"Sadie is more than you'll ever be Kaylie." Axel stands and grabs his coat from the booth. Throwing it on he glares at Kaylie as she hops from the booth quickly.

"No Axel! Wait please, can't you see what what she's done to us?" Axel shakes Kaylie's hand from his arm. He leaves the diner with Kaylie hot on his heels, not wanting to cause a scene.

"Kaylie enough, none of us want anything to do with you anymore." He stops and Kaylie growls and hits his chest with her hands.

"Why the fuck don't you care about me anymore?!" Axel wants to pull his hair out right about now.

"Because you hurt me Kaylie! You hurt all of us!" She goes quiet as Axel paces in front of her. He huffs as his phone buzzes in his pocket and stops to check.

Corey found a lead in
Kaylie's call history.
Get back when you can.

Be there soon.

Pocketing his phone he turns back to Kaylie's upset form. He sighs and runs a hand through his hand.

"I've gotta go Kaylie." Her glistening brown eyes catch his quickly and he huffs.

"You're just gonna leave me here like this?" Axel exhales a chuckle and straightens his coat.

"Yeah." He turns and leaves her as she calls out to him. Axel gets into his suv and drives to meet up with his team. 'Time to figure this shit out.'
