Ok so one of my inspirations for the movie was actually the Rugrats movie
Before I wrote season 3, I was already planning for season 4 (this was before I planned out the specials too) and I wanted to take a break mainly because I was done with finals and I was trying to find a movie. And one of the movies I watched when I was little was the Rugrats movie. And it gave me the idea to write an HCD story regarding to them being lost in the woods which basically was what happened in the Rugrats movie where they basically got lost in the woods. And that's also why I wrote the story Wyatt for season 3 just for you guys to hype up for what was coming in the movie since that story gives you a hint that MePhone has lived in the woods
Speaking of MePhone, the second reason for making the movie was to get further on MePhone's backstory. Like you know he left home, you know the stuff he had to deal with, you knew how his life was back home. But I wanted to go further in since it was established he was on his own for 5 years, but he didn't stay in his town until he was 10. He was in the woods when he first got to earth before he got to his town and eventually had a new life. And also just showing how it would be difficult for him to leave camp that also shows his development with the others throughout the series. Like at first he was not ready to go to camp and was also not as close to anyone there as he is now. And now he doesn't want to leave.
The inspiration was actually to explain the backstories on the other pairs. Like you guys saw 4 and MePhone meeting in the first story, Chocolate Bar and Gold Ingot did confirm they met because of Wand, and Oodle and Computer's backstory was explained in season 3. So now that's left was BK and Airy, Paint Palette and Crayon Box, and Controlly and Gamey's backstory. And it was fun writing how they first met.
Also this movie was a good opportunity to further more on some of the characters, both main and side characters, and also open up some new plots and dynamics that will later on be more explored in the specials and the other seasons
