My mum always wants to know what happens around which is kinda sweet but Soo annoying.
"Ekasan Maami."

"A dupẹ ma."
"Kilo wá, Temi told me you now have a girlfriend." She said stirring the stew she was making.
"Wow Maami, that smells really nice.
I just realized I'm so hungry."
"Don't even try to divert my attention Femi." She snapped.
"Okay fine, we are not in a relationship yet."
"So that *yet* means you have an intention of dating her abi?"
"Yeah,I really like her."
"Hmm,Where is she from?"
"She's from here, Nsukka." I answered slowly I couldn't ward off this feeling that she might reject her because she is Igbo and I'm Yoruba.
"Wow,that's nice.."
"Mum are you sure?" I drawled
"Of course,why do you ask?"she asked raising her eye brow.
"Nothing,I was just thinking you won't like her because she is ọmọ Igbo." I shrugged.
"Oh please,I'm too learned for that way of thinking.
I wouldn't ask you not to be in a relationship with anyone because of her tribe.
All I need to know is how good her personality is.
We have been living here for fifteen years, although the people acknowledge as *Ndị Ofe mmanụ,but asides that the are friendly and helpful when ever we need their help."
"I'm happy to hear that Mum."I grinned.
"Ehn notwithstanding that, maṣe fun ọmọbinrin ẹnikan loyun ọ,you are still eighteen and you have a whole lot of responsibilities waiting for you." She warned playfully.
"Ah maami,you don't have to say that,it's embarrassing."
"Shut up jàre,you think I don't know what you teenagers do."
"Trust me mum,I am not one of them."
"Iro!!, Shift abeg let me prepare food for my husband,you think I don't know you sneaked out yesterday to meet your friend." She teased.
