You all walked into the snack bar while Mira and Zack were playfully bantering.
Zack had a huge smile on his face, and Mira hit his shoulder softly from how he was teasing her.
You all went up to the bar and ordered. You leed Mira to a table while Zack ate his corn dog while leaning on the wall next to it.
"So how much studying did you get done, Zack?"
You looked at him from the side, and he visibly tensed, but then he relaxed and scoffed.
"Tons. Probably as much, if not more than you two."
Asshole.
"Oh really? Can we see it, I want to see if I have anything wrong."
Mira smiled innocently at Zack, and he started sweating.
He quickly finished up the last of his food and coughed to himself.
"Maybe later, I'm going outside for a while..."
He walked away from the two of you.
"That's too bad.."
Mira looked disappointed, and you were just blank faced in the direction he left off to.
you moved on pretty quickly, and so you grabbed your trash and got up to throw it away, bringing Mira's with you.
Mira was looking out the window of the snack bar and was smiling with her head resting on her hand.
"What is it?"
"Hm? It's nothing."
She seemed to be in a good mood.
"Okay.."
She looked at you and tilted her head.
"[Y/n], how about we have a sleepover at your place sometime?"
You were taken aback a bit.
"Where is this coming from?"
She huffed and crossed her arms while looking away from you.
"You've never once invited me over. Isn't that what friends do?"
You laughed nervously and started thinking.
"Maybe sometime, but not today, alright?"
"Sure.."
She was still bummed but let it go anyway.
"Cheer up, lover boy is back."
You were the first to notice Zack walk up to you two.
"Mira, want a drink?"
She brightened up.
"A soda."
You pulled out your wallet and took out some money.
"I'll pay if you get me one too~"
You were teasing him as he frowned and snatched the money from your hand. All he could think of was how you were ruining his date with Mira, even though it wasn't a date.
He walked up to the counter like a toddler who was having a fit.
"Hey, look."
You pointed Mira to a group of guys tormenting Zack.
Mira got up and walked over there. You rushed to follow behind her.
"What's wrong, Zack?"
"Haha, it's nothing...
He pleaded at you with his eyes.
"Are you fighting?"
As Zack was trying to push Mira back, you decided to be his knight in shining armor.
"C'mon Mira, we need to finish studying."
You grabbed the sodas from Zack's hands and led Mira to the girls' study room.
"Shouldn't we not leave him alone?"
You smiled at her reassuringly as you sat down at a desk.
"He's fineeee, sit down."
She did as you told her and shifted uncomfortably in her chair.
"Only for a little bit.."
You were going to try and distract her and hope that Zack sorts things out on his own.
"That's all I'm asking."
You were chatting playfully with her while getting out your books.
