I woke up this morning with a sore fucking throat.

Last night Aidan after I had done things with Aidan we watched a movie and that's when it started to hurt so no surprise to that. After the movie, he dropped me off at the house and after cuddling for a bit I told him he probably had to go and he did.

The things I would give just to let him sleep in my bed with me without my brothers freaking out.

I walk into the kitchen to make tea to help my throat. Just as I do in waltzes with my brothers and Aidan. "Hey Lia, when did you get home?" Theo asks me, "Um," I cough and clear my throat, "I got home last night sorry I didn't text Val and I were taking care of some things and it was so late I just wanted to sleep," I lie but my voice is deep, rough, and scratchy.

All my brothers look at me concerned Aidan on the other hand just smirks.

"What's wrong?" "Are you sick?" "Do you feel okay?"

"I'm completely fine I just woke up with a sore throat," I say my voice remains the same deep, rough, and scratchy combo.

Theo checks my head, "Theo I'm fine," I pull his hand off my head, "Do you want me to make you some tea? Helps with the throat," everyone turns to look at him and I just wanna murder him right then and there.

I put on my award-winning sarcastic smile, "No thank you I'm already handling that," They all nod, "If you start to feel sick tell us," Diego says and I nod.

Diego says and I nod. "Wait," Diego pauses staring at me.

"What's on your neck?" He asks me. All of my brothers look and Aidan's eyes widen. This bitch gave me a hickey.

I put my hand over my neck, "A bruise probably, Val and I went to a last minute mission the guy had put up a fight," Theo looks up and down at me.

Diego looks exactly like he knows but says nothing and Alejandro just stands there dumbfounded.

"Alright well be careful next time," Theo says and they all walk away. I make my tea and head back to my room all better.

3 WEEKS LATER

Today Val and I go to a Halloween hosted by Mateo.

Next week is Halloween along with my birthday. Aidan's birthday is on the first of October and mine is on the last day of October.

Since his birthday, however, we haven't done anything which I find good. And my sore throat went away after a few days thankfully. I already told Aidan about the party and the fact I will be telling Mateo that we're off.

And Val and I are going as sexy Ghostface killers.

We have short shorts with chains on them and a black tank top along with the iconic Ghostface mask.

Val and I have just arrived at the party now, "You gonna tell Mateo about you and Aidan?" Valentina asks. I nod, "I'm gonna tell him that I just don't wanna continue anything we have. He probably will be another girl already," She laughs.

We place on our masks and then walk into the house party seeing all the different kinds of costumes. Val and I agreed to five beers and three shots. Baby steps.

I walk to get a drink almost immediately chugging the beer as soon as I get it.

I then just grab another beer to sip on. I walk around with Valentina looking for Mateo until I see a man in a photographer outfit. I chuckle continuing to find Mateo.

He sees Val and me waving us over, "Hey y'all," Mateo says Val and I greet everyone.

After a while of us all interacting Mateo speaks to me, "Hey Lia can we talk?" I nod, "Sure," I smile at him and we walk away from the group.

"I love the masks by the way," He tells me, "Thank you," I say.

"I wanted to speak about us and if we're gonna continue this," he moves his hand between us, "I'm sorry Mateo I just don't wanna continue any of this," I tell him. He nods, "That's fine I understand. Are we cool?" He asks me.

I nod noticing a figure behind him, "Yeah don't worry," I say reassuring him, "I'm gonna actually go get something real quick," I tell him and walk away to the upstairs of the house and into the restroom.

When I exit the restroom I see the lurking figure standing outside.

"Looking for me?" I ask him with my voice changer. James becomes startled by the noise. "Holy- You were the one in the Ghostface-" He stutters most of the words before I cut him off.

"If I was then whose this?" I pull out Valentina in the same costume putting a knife to her neck as she fake begs.

Once I noticed James creeping around me I texted Val to meet me in the restroom.

"Please! Please don't kill me," I groan, "Shut up," I move her back inside the restroom, "James Styles right?" He nods, "Well James, mind your own fucking business," I tell him then use my knife to knock him out successfully doing so.

I smirk and turn to Val, "Close call," Trevor or James Anderson says into my ear beside me. I grab the same pills and some that will make him forget a thing or two.

I force the drugs down his throat. "Thanks, Val," I whisper to her as she comes out handing me my costume to which I quickly change back into.

I remove the mask of the costume and put a worried expression on, whilst shaking James, "Oh my gosh James wake up! Wake up please!" His eyes flutter open, "Ms. Rose?" He asks then looks around shit the pills did not work.

"But Smiles-" I shake my head, "Smiles? What about her? We just found you in here alone," he nods his head, "You're right."

"Oscar deserving truly," The other James speaks.
