⋆☾⋆࿔࿐⋆𓇼⋆࿐ ࿔⋆☾⋆ Ta'kari POV ⋆☾⋆࿔࿐⋆𓇼⋆࿐ ࿔⋆☾⋆

After Aonung storms out of the hut, I flop down onto my sleeping mat.

Fuck him.

But honestly, I don't know why I'm so mad.

I'm not fuming with him, it's fucking Za'tarae.

That interfering, secret-spilling bitch.

When I finally look up, the sky is darkening, the sun nearly completely set and the clouds a brilliant purple/pink.

"Ta'kari!" Tsireya says, crashing into the marui and breathing heavily.

"What's wrong?" I say, as I note Tsireya's desperately wandering eyes.

"Where's Aonung?" she cries.

"I don't know," I say, hugging my arms around myself.

"We haven't seen him in hours. People said they saw him leaving the village upset, and we don't know where he went."

"He said he's hunting," I say, frowning. "I'm sure he's fine Reya he-"

"It's not safe out there alone," she cries, and the desperate horror on her face makes my throat close.

"Where would he have gone," I say tightly, heart constricting dangerously.

"I don't know," Tsireya whispers, breathing heavily.

"WHERE, Tsireya?"

"I don't know... maybe Three Brothers Rock?" Tsireya suggests.

"Stay here," I say, grabbing her shoulders.

"But it's not safe for you either-"

"I'll be fine," I say. "Where is it?"

"Out the bay, the ilu know where to go."

I nod once, running out of the hut and calling for the ilu.

I slide on, gripping the reins so tight my hands are pale pale teal.

Panic fills me as I ride.

He'd better be okay. I will strangle that skxawng beyond Eywa if he's hurt... or worse.

No.

He can't be.

I fucking lost everyone else, I'm not going to let him go too.

"Come on," I hiss under my breath, telling the ilu to go faster through our tsaheylu.

Finally, three craggy rock shapes come into view in the nearly completely black night sky.

I can only guess it's Three Brothers Rock.

It strikes me as ominous that there is no bioluminescent shapes moving in the water, yet ripples are moving along the surface.

"Aonung?" I call softly.

There is no reply.

"Aonung?"

Finally, as I draw closer to the middle of the cove, I see a flurry of movement below.

With a shudder of horror, I make out the figure of an akula.

"AONUNG?" I scream, but there is no answer.

Akula only chase massive prey, all alone.

Like idiotic, stupidly handsome 17 yr old na'vi.

Cursing my stupid mate, I take a deep breath and submerge.

I think I can make out his form, struggling into a coral outcropping, so maybe he isn't completely idiotic.
