Going On A Mission {Gwen X Miles}

Part 15:

Charlotte's POV:

"Oh ok no problem as long as her parents are ok with it" (George)

As soon as he said that I noticed Gwen and Miles looking at each other nervously I didn't want it too look suspicious or anything and they were taking a little bit too long to respond so I just talked for them

"Oh yeah their ok with" I assured him

"Yeah anyways I'm gonna go out for a minute to take miles home since it isn't that far from here I'll be right back in a bit" Gwen told us as she quickly stood up and grabbed Miles to take him home

Ngl I get she's probably awkward about the whole thing and wants alone time with him and all that but SHE LEFT ME ALONE WITH HER DAD this is so awkward

We just blankly looked at each other not knowing what to say until I spoke up

"Yeah anyways I'm gonna go to sleep is really late y'know uhh yeah anyways bye"

I quickly stood and ran to Gwen's room and closed the door

I just noticed but if you think about it he's kind of my grandpa I guess I mean I never met my mom's side of the family before cause her mom died when she was little and her dad died one day at work he got shot at and didn't make it...

Anyways enough about that what am I gonna do until mom- I mean Gwen gets here?

I could go to sleep but I just know I won't be able to I have a lot in my mind and my anxiety just won't let me alone

Then I noticed the TV in her room and saw the remote next to her bed in her nightstand

"I guess I'll just watch TV I have nothing better to do rn"

A few minutes past and I saw Gwen opening the window to get inside

"Hey mom welcome back"

"What" she replied confused

Then I realized what I said "I MEAN Gwen sorry"

"... Sorry I called you that, is just that even tho your not technically my mom I just see you and see her y'know idk if what I'm saying makes sense but-"

"Yeah no I get it... is fine don't worry about it"

"Uhh what are you doing"

"Oh not much just watching TV cause I can't sleep y'know"I replied

Then Gwen sat down next to me on the bed

We stayed in silence for a while she was on her phone and I was watching TV

Few seconds later she turned off her phone and looked like she was thinking of something she had a worried look on her face

"Everything ok"

I asked her cause she also looked like she spaced out for a minute

"Gwen?"

"Huh what"

"Everything good?"

"Oh yeah just thinking"

She looked liked she had a lot in her mind I wanted to ask her what was going on but we are not that close I don't think she'll want to tell me

"Anyways Ill come by like at the end of the day when school ends and stuff cause I feel bad leaving you here by yourself self (but my roommate can be a little annoying and most of the time she brings someone to sleep with her and stuff ugh she thinks the dorm is all for herself like hello I stay there too) that's the reason why I don't offer you to stay in my dorms with me, besides that what I'm trying to say is I'll try to not leave you alone for too long"

"I just remembered I also have to do some essay or something for school i don't really know what to do miles is going to help me with it tomorrow cause I forgot about it"

"And then I also have to go to band practice and have to try my best not to be late"

"Oh you play in a band?"

I turned my body around facing her giving her my full attention

I never knew she was in a band!

"Yeah it's called The Mary Janes"

"What do you play"

"I play the drums I sing sometimes too tho"

"Niceee I would love to see you play sometime"

"Yeah we are competing in this battle of the bands thing in a few days I hope I can make it with everything that's going on and stuff..."

"It's getting really late and I got to go to school tomorrow so I'ma go to sleep good night"

Gwen told me as she got up and opened the door to the living room and closed it

"Good night"
...

That was it had to go to sleep no distractions or anything just my thoughts...

I turned off the TV and laid down in bed tried to fall asleep by closing my eyes and counting in my head

1,2,3,4,5,....

By the time I got to 1,436 I gave up and opened my eyes again not knowing what to do

I mean I could always go for a swing outside but idk is late and-

"I'll just do it" I got up put my suit on and opened the window gently trying not to make any noice to get out.
