The next morning was a busy one. The family had been running around, making sure everything was in place. "Do you have everything?" Solko asked her mother, who had taken the lead on making breakfast for everyone.

"Yes, we have everything we need packed and ready to go." Lìyìnuk replied with a soothing grin. Solko simply smiled in response, taking a seat next to Tatal who was patching a hole in their father's satchel. "Thank you for making breakfast sweetheart." Lìyìnuk added.

"Of course, I don't mind, although I can't promise it will taste as good as yours." Solko joked.

"I am sure it will taste amazing." Lìyìnuk chuckled.

While the three women laughed together, they didn't realize that they had a visitor. "Mother...do you have to go?" Sakire asked meekly, standing in the entryway gaining her family's attention. Lìyìnuk sighed and motioned for Sakire to come to her. Once Lìyìnuk had a firm hold on the young girl she began stroking the back of her head. "Yes, but this is the last time I will ever leave all of you. Once we come home, that's it." Lìyìnuk reassured the saddened child.

"Your mother is right." Pxäkngam contributed, gaining Sakire's attention, as he walked into the common area. "You'll be surprised by how fast this trip will fly by because you know it is the last one." He added with a smile. Sakire looked back at her mother who's expression matched her fathers.

"We will be back before you know it!" Lìyìnuk chuckled, watching Sakire run over to her father, and engulfed him in a hug. The family had their last meal together as eight, before watching their parents fade into the forest for the last time.

"Are they going to be okay Tatal?" Tsovey asked nervously.

Tatal let out a confident breath, pulling Tsovey close to her. "They will be fine." Tatal reassured the group. "I have a good feeling about this." She added. They stayed planted at the forest's entrance for a time before Tatal cleared her throat. "Come on. Let's get back home. Standing here won't make them come home faster." She joked, making her family laugh.

The group of six made their way back home and continued life as normal. Tatal couldn't help but feel optimistic that what her father said was try. She hoped that their home was out there. That their people actually made it out.
