Luz: "*chuckle* Yes, I believe."
Y/N: "Then you have passed lesson one. See? You'll be a witch in no time at this pace."
Luz just shook her head at her friend's antics. His words meant a lot more to her than he could probably guess. They made her heart beat a bit faster and her cheeks to warm up. He truly was the best friend she could ask for. She watched as Y/N hauled the bag of potions over his shoulder again, almost falling on his back but managing to keep his balance this time, and got up with King.
Luz: "This has been a rough day. Let's just deliver this last package and go home."
Y/N and King followed Luz across some alleys as she read from a piece of paper where the last package should be delivered. They didn't seem to notice how the alleyway started to narrow until they brushed a cloth hanging by a rope in front of them, where they stood in front of an impressive looking castle. Luz and Y/N gasped in amazement as they stared at the structure before them, complete with flags at the top of each tower.
Luz: "Pretty!"
Y/N: "Please tell me this is where we need to be."
Luz: "It is."
Y/N: "Yes!"
Y/N ran ahead with the sack on his back, followed by Luz and King trailing behind him. Once they reached a large double door, Luz rang the doorbell, and this time it didn't try to eat her arm, breaking her streak. The door slowly opened as Y/N and Luz stood there, barely able to contain themselves. Meanwhile, King was not so impressed.
King: "Big houses always belong to big whackjobs. Let's kick the package inside and get outta here."
But he was ignored as the humans marched inside, forcing the little demon dog to reluctantly follow them. Suddenly the door slammed shut behind him, startling King who was now more than ready to follow his companions. Along the walk through the castle, they saw many doors and hallways, but no one in sight. Y/N was starting to get tired from walking all day, or so he thought was all day, yet it was barely lunch time. As the three walked aimlessly through the corridors, Y/N didn't realize he took the wrong path, and ended up split from King and Luz.
That didn't bother him since it gave him time to explore the castle. He stumbled upon a kitchen, which was very spacious yet empty at the same time, and when he opened the giant fridge, all he found where rocks and mud. The human just assumed that whoever lived here had a mineral based diet.
Y/N: "Hehe, mineral diet. Because they're rocks. Good one, me!"
As if finally snapping out of his fantasy, Y/N realized he was just casually raiding a stranger's fridge. It felt like a slap to the face since his parents, or more like his maid, thought him better than this. He was so lost in wonder that he didn't realize he was breaking his etiquette rules and being a bad boy. He couldn't be a bad boy! He was a good boy! Alice back home said it, Lucia says it all the time.
Y/N: "I need to find Luz and King before someone finds me and accuses me of being a bad boy!"
! SYSTEM UPDATE COMPLETE !
Y/N: "Eh?"
"Welcome back, Player."
And just like that, he was enveloped in a blinding light before disappearing from where he was standing. Right at that moment, Luz and King showed up at the door, drawn in due to all the noise. They peeked inside, finding nothing but an open fridge with rocks and mud.
