Chapter 1: A Lying Witch and a Warden

Can I just say that wattpad is a bitch when it comes to centering text? Every time I do it, save and quit, I come back to continue writing and the text is back on the left side. Pain in the ass.

It has been three months since Y/N and his parents moved to America. Three months since Y/N started attending a new school. And three months since Y/N made his first ever two friends, Luz and Lucia, the Noceda sisters. The two girls have been insistent on spending time with their favorite boy (not like that), so Y/N has had little time to go dungeon diving. He didn't mind it as much as he thought. Sure, he was living his dream of learning magic and exploring dungeons, finding and fighting monsters out of fantasy books, and possessing a system like those of video games. But he was also living his other dream of having fun with friends. Both seemed unattainable for him at some point, yet here he was now, constantly spending time with two girls that equally enjoyed spending time with him. If he wasn't so innocent, he might have considered the whole thing weird.

But he didn't. In his mind, they were just two friends that he liked spending time with, so he was living two dreams at once. His fantasy dream, and his friendship dream. What more could he ask for?

Y/N: "I want a new spell."

Well, that. The system only allows dungeon diving once every day. He hardly had time to go every day since he was so busy spending time with Luz and Lucia or resting from almost getting killed by monsters. Almost every day he was in the company of one or two girls, and that consumed a lot of his time. Y/N is currently looking through all the rewards his last adventures have given him, meticulously picking at every detail and his own growth.

He also took the time to look through the materials he got from monsters and the environment. Unlike chest loot, materials need to be gathered manually and don't just drop after killing something. Just like with his first slime core, he had to hold it before killing the slime. He didn't know if he needed them, but if he was able to get them, then they would definitely be important for later.

Unfortunately, he wasn't very good at getting the materials. Slimes were easy since all he had to do was reach out and yank the core out of them, but stopped once he realized he was taking too much damage. Horned rabbits were another story entirely. Have you ever tried ripping a body part of an animal that was still alive? Y/N didn't, and the first and only time he successfully got a horned rabbit's horn, he spent a week and a half trying to recuperate from the twisted image of blood, bones and brain matter splattering across his face, not to mention the screams of agony of the poor thing. Not a good experience if I do say so myself.
