Chapter 2: Witches before Wizards

Eda: "Oops, I almost forgot this."

She reached behind the door and pulled out a black box. She gave it to Y/N, who looked inside it to see various potions neatly stacked, one side red and the other blue. Eda then smacked a paper on the lid of the box, startling Y/N before he read what was on it.

Y/N: "Who is... Blight?"

Eda: "Some rich family who thinks they're better than everyone. They ordered a bunch of potions and, eh, I couldn't say no to all that money."

Lucia: "Understandable."

Eda: "Exactly. Just take it to that address there and try not to die on the way."

Y/N: "So... you're entrusting this mission onto me alone?"

Eda: "Yes."

Y/N: "I will make you proud, Miss Eda!"

And so the boy wasted no more time and ran off, leaving the rest behind with dumbfounded looks.

Hooty: "Have a nice trip!"

Eda: "You better go after him before he gets himself killed."

Lucia/Luz: "Yep./On it!"

King: "Ugh, let's just get this over with."

The three quickly rushed to follow the excited human boy, and thankfully he was not too far ahead of them, so they managed to catch up quickly. On the way to the town, they passed by many weird things. Demons of all shapes and sizes, stuff Y/N and Luz only saw in fantasy books and shows that left them gawking at how magic everything was. Thankfully for King, it didn't take long for the group to arrive at Bonesborough. It's just as magical and weird as the two fantasy nerds imagined. While Lucia took this chance of being outside to light up a cigarette, Y/N was looking around like an overexcited puppy, and he would have ran off by now if it wasn't for Luz reminding him of their quest.

Y/N: "But it's an elf! You know, pointy ears, tall, beautiful and lives in a forest!"

Luz: "Y/N, witches have pointy ears, and I'm pretty sure that witch just has leaves growing out of their head."

Lucia: "Must be letting the bush grow."

Lucia cackled when Luz elbowed her side harshly for making such a disgusting pun. King and Y/N looked at each other and shrugged, neither of them getting the meaning of what was just said.

Y/N: "So I guess I'm delivering this box to the Blight person while you go deliver the rest?"

Luz: "Sounds good to me."

King: "Yeah, whatever."

Lucia: "Mmh... how about I go instead?"

Y/N: "What? Why?"

Lucia: "Because I can take care of myself, and you can't. We're not sure if this Blight guy likes little boys like you."

Y/N: "But what if he likes big girls like you?"

Lucia smirked at being called big girl in such an innocent and concerned way before patting the boy's head and taking the black box off his hands.

Lucia: "As I said, I can handle myself. You go with Luz and King, alright?"

Y/N: "If you say so."

Lucia: "Good. Take good care of him for me, sis."

With that, the group split, letting Lucia deliver the important package while Luz, Y/N and King went around selling the rest. Y/N waved Lucia off before getting distracted by some kind of gross fairy. He was about to follow it out of curiosity but was stopped by King.
