Third Person

Jennie was caught off guard by Miyeon's bold and provocative question. What angered her the most was her inability to fight back and defend herself against her taunts. Aching to lash out so badly for her audacity to bring up her history with V and acted as if she's the villain in the story. Jennie's fist clenched tightly, her nails digging into her palms, fighting the urge to storm into the room, grab Miyeon by the hair, and drag her out. She was on the edge of losing control, but she knew she shouldn't stoop down to Miyeon's level, no matter how much she wanted to. She repeated to herself over and over not to engage.

But deep down, Jennie couldn't help but feel an intense mix of frustration and vulnerability. It feels like everyone was against her and the only thing she did was choose to leave the past behind and move on with her life.

Was it bad? Was it her responsibility to let them know about her past? Did she owe anyone an explanation? Absolutely not.

Questions swirled in her mind as she tried to figure out how Miyeon knew about her history with V and what she was trying to achieve by bringing it up. Did Taehyung tell her about their past? Why? Why would he do that? Jennie's mind raced, but she knew that reacting impulsively would only fuel the fire. The last thing she wanted was to start trouble in the middle of such a sensitive situation, especially considering Lisa's father's condition.

"Jennie, I'm..." Jennie cut Taehyung off raising her hand, glaring at him with a stern look. "Do not say a word. I don't want to hear anything from you..." Jennie said with a quivering voice, eyes welling up with tears, not from sadness but from pure rage and frustration.

Taehyung leaned on the wall massaging his temple realizing the impact of his actions. For sharing everything with Miyeon, for confiding to the wrong person.

"You guys realize that I'm still here right?" Rosie's voice cut through the tension in the room, breaking the silence. Her tone was filled with annoyance and disbelief.

"Taehyung I think your job is done here," Rosie said sharply, her gaze fixed on him and shifted to Jennie. "Let's talk somewhere private." and walk past. Jennie let out a deep breath composing herself before following Rosie, she's well aware that she can't avoid the truth any longer.

Rosie led Jennie to the hospital's garden, where they can both talk in private. The air was heavy with tension as Rosie turned to face Jennie, her expression stern yet compassionate. "What the heck was that, Jennie?"

"You and Taehyung?" Rosie added sitting down on a bench, her eyes never leaving Jennie's face. "Why didn't you tell us about it?"

Jennie sat next to Rosie breathing in as much air she could take before responding, looking blankly ahead. "I didn't get the chance? I mean, you guys came unannounced with him, to surprise Lisa and I just... panicked. I didn't know how to handle the situation, Rosie." Jennie admitted.

"Can't handle what? Telling us that you have a history with him? Why?" Rosie asked trying to understand Jennie's stand.

"I don't know... you guys seemed very close, I thought that knowing about our past would only complicate things further."

Rosie couldn't help but scoff in disbelief. "You think we're that petty? So what if you have a past with him?" Her laughter carried a dry, mocking edge. "That's absurd."

"Yep, not a big deal if he's not with me in Jeju..." Jennie muttered, her voice trailing off.

"What?!" Rosie's attention swiftly shifted back to Jennie. "What do you mean 'if he's not with you in Jeju'?" Rosie questioned, her eyes narrowing.

"I'm working under him, thanks to my Dad." Jennie sarcastically said with a hint of bitterness in her voice.

Rosie bit her lower lip as she gripped the bench, trying to process what she just heard. "Well, that changes things."
