Chaeyoung's POV
What just happened? He was in the bathroom taking a shower but I seemed to not be able to move out of my spot out of pure arousal and shock. Had he really just said that? I was so shocked I forgot to ask him why he wanted me to wear this dress in the first place and what the surprise was.
Get it together, get it together Chaeyoung.
I went into my bedroom to distract myself from the event that just played. I was originally trying to call the contractors who were building the hotel in China. I needed to make sure that everything was still going to go smoothly even without Jackson in the picture. Lord, I did not want to even think about where he was or if he was even alive. I felt guilty for not even wanting to acknowledge him, knowing full well whatever happened would be because of me. If appa had caught any sort of wind of this, he would murder everyone involved and I couldn't risk losing, Jimin.
After making a few calls, I went back into Jimin's bedroom wondering if he was done. As soon as I stepped into the room he stepped out of the closet in a white button-down tucked into a pair of black slacks with the first few buttons of his shirt undone and a pair of Chelsea boots. Arousal suddenly pooled down below, as if I was suddenly a horny teenager again, but Jimin never failed to turn me on.
"Wait, you're missing something." He said bringing my mind back to reality.
"What?"
He went over to the nightstand and pulled out the pink diamond necklace from it velvet encasing and walked behind me. I pulled my hair to the side letting him put it on, his hands then encircled my waist into a hug leaving a kiss on my neck.
"Will you finally tell me what the surprise is?"
"I had planned for a nice dinner on your birthday, but that didn't go as planned so I thought we could have a redo today." It was obvious Jimin was trying to avoid mentioning the kidnapping, he must have noticed that it still affected me and that I was more scared of being alone than ever.
"Really? I won't lie I thought you didn't know it had been my birthday or you forgot about it."
"How could I forget something like that? I'm sorry, I didn't wish you at all on your birthday, but please let me make it up to you."
"It's okay Chim, you don't need to do all of this. I don't really care about my birthday anyway."
"I care and I want us to spend more time together."
He grabbed my hand and led me toward his car, opening the door for me. Although I was grateful for his thoughtfulness, I wasn't sure why I was feeling uneasy about this whole thing. Walking into the restaurant I noticed there was no one; just one table with candles lit.
"You rented the whole restaurant?" I could tell my voice was anxious as it left my mouth.
"Why? Do you not like it?"
"No, I love it" I did love it, but for some reason, my birthday only set off loud prolonged cries in my head. "Umm, can we just sit down" I needed wine, that was the only way I could escape my own thoughts.
"Of course." He pulled out the chair for me and then sat down facing me. He grabbed our wine glasses and pour some for the both of us. As soon as I grabbed the glass I downed it all once. "What do you want?"
"I'll just have whatever you're having."
He gave our order to the waiter and then faced me. "Love, are you alright?"
He must have noticed my fidgeting. "I'm fine."
"Okay." He tried conversing with me, but the only way I was able to keep my focus on him was by pouring myself more wine.
